Wicked Lasers Elite Series 125 Plus Review @ TestFreaks.com

September 15th, 2008 by Kristofer

On the review block today I’ve got the Wicked Lasers Elite Series 125 Plus, it’s a green laser that is just amazing, one of those things that you have to see for yourself to believe.  The quality of the Elite Series 125 Plus is excellent, holding it in your hand you can feel the care that went into the design and production of it, looking at it closely you can see it is flawless in it’s creation. In the following review I’ve got a few pictures for you and several videos as well showing the Elite 125 in action, as a bonus Wicked Lasers also sent me a pair of Laser Shades, so I’ll be taking a quick look at those too.

USB Wireless Missile Launcher

September 7th, 2008 by Kristofer

Toys are great, especially tech toys as they offer us a nice diversion and some relaxation to help take the stresses out of our daily lives.

Today for review I’ve got a cool little gadget from USBGeek that will allow you to torment your co-workers and friends from a distance wirelessly. A while ago I looked at the USB Missile Launcher, today I’ve got the wireless version of it, it’s basically the same just without a wire attached to the launcher tethered to your computer. The wireless version has a transmitter that is hooked to your computer via USB, and the actual launcher can be placed up to 15 feet away for some long distance fun.

USB Basketball Fidget

August 23rd, 2008 by Kristofer

Life shouldn’t be all about work, we all need time to relax and play a little, but for most people their lives revolve around working, me included, and we just don’t get much time to play and relax anymore… We should, we all should just stop and take some to to have fun, even if it’s just for a few minutes per day while we’re working. Taking time to relax and have fun not only reduces stress but can also help to clear the mind and actually help you work better…

It’s been a while since we’ve reviewed any kind of toys, and what I have today might be considered a toy or not. It’s an interesting little gadget from USBGeek called the USB Basketball Fidget and essentially what it is is a small basketball shaped button on a base that attaches via USB to your computer. There’s software included with the fidget and once installed you’ve got a cool little mini game right on your desktop to help you waste a bit of time and have fun, it’s an easy game to play, you just tap the button to stop the ball from leaving your desktop as it bounces around your screen. There’s not much to it, and there doesn’t really need to be, it’s just something to have fun with and waste a bit of time…

Dream Cheeky USB Missile Launcher Review @ OzHardware

Brief Intro:

Although it might seem a bit cheap and nasty, the USB Rocket Launcher form ‘Dream Cheeky’ is so much fun it should be banned – and I’m sure in schools and offices across the country it will be.

Ultra Micro Hughes 300 RC Helicopter Review

March 5th, 2008 by Kristofer

Toys, toys, toys, I just love them! The smaller the better actually, and today for review I’ve got the smallest RC helicopter I’ve seen yet. It’s from our friends at TrendTimes.com and it’s called the Ultra Micro Hughes 300. The Micro Hughes 300 is very cool and lots of fun to fly around all over the place. The helicopter itself is very well made and very rugged as I crashed it many, many times while playing with it. It’s also highly detailed as well, it features a plastic body and not a styrofom body like other micro helicopters out there making it look more realistic with the many added details.

So continue on to check out all the pictures and movies I’ve got for you…

Mini Remote Control (RC) Forklift Reviewed @ DragonSteelMods.com

February 24th, 2008 by Kristofer

Most of our life is about work, but we do need to take a play break every once in a while and relax. When we’re kids we spend most of our time playing and learning, but as adults we spend our time working and learning with not much play involved, and that’s not a good thing we do need to take time out and relax and let the stresses of everyday life recede away.

I’m still a kid at heart, even though I’m about to turn yet another year older in a couple days and I’ve got children of my own now, but I still like toys, especially remote control ones. I think most guys out there have a soft spot for RC stuff no matter what it is, and will find time to play with them.

Today for review I’ve got a cool little Remote Control Forklift from TrendTimes.com, it’s full of features, including movable, working forklift, full movement control and it includes a pallet, warning cones and even a little storage crate to carry around on it.

It’s a great little toy to run around on your desktop and have a little fun during the day to help break the stresses of life up a bit…

Toys, toys, toys, I love them all, yep I’m just a big kid at heart and always will be. I especially like remote control toys, the smaller the better I say, and it seems they are getting smaller and smaller all the time.

Last year the hot RC toy was the micro helicopter, this year it’s the micro airplane, and that’s what I’ve got today for review, specifically the Palm Z Silverlit Mini RC Indoor Airplane from HobbyTron.com. The Palm Z is tons of fun, it charges fast and has a decent flying time. So read on to learn more about it, and see a few movies as well…

USB Flash Card 2GB MP3 Player Review @ DragonSteelMods.com

January 13th, 2008 by Kristofer

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed any mp3 players, I’ve personally got one that I love, it’s the S.Beat from Swiss Memory and it goes quite a few places with me all the time for when I get the chance to listen to it. There are other mp3 players out there besides the iPod, believe it or not, and I’ve never quite understood the fascination with having 20+ gigs of storage on a portable music device, my S.Beat is a 1 gig and I’ve never filled it yet, there’s just not that much I like I guess. So I can’t figure out how people actually can listen to 20+ gigs of music, or have that much that they actually like…

Anyway, today for review I’ve got a small and portable, credit card sized mp3 player from our friends at Brando WorkShop, it’s officially called the USB Flash Card MP3 Player, and it’s the 2Gig capacity variety, which should be more than enough for most people…

RC AH-64 Apache RTF 4 CH Electric Helicopter from HobbyTron

January 13th, 2008 by Kristofer

Today for review I have another helicopter from HobbyTron, it is an AH-64 Apache four channel remote control type. This helicopter is a bit special in that it has co-axial rotor blades, where one blades spins clockwise while the other spins counter clockwise, the idea of this is that there is essentially no need for a tail rotor as the dual blades cancel out the rotation normally caused by a single bladed copter. I can say that I had a blast flying this helicopter around all over the place, it is fairly easy to use, fast, maneuverable and surprisingly very durable…

USBFever Auto/Car FM Transmitter Reviewed @ DragonSteelMods.com

January 7th, 2008 by Kristofer

I remember a time when portable CD players were becoming popular and in-car cd players were considered a luxury item and not standard fair (yeah I’m that old) and I would use a tape adapter to connect my cd player to play through my car speakers. Today of course we have mp3 players that have essentially replaced those portable cd players, and now we also find cd players standard in our cars.

Some car stereos have a line input for connecting your mp3 player and some of the higher end ones even feature a USB port or even a memory card slot, but those are more high end offerings and we’re left we having to either upgrade or find an inexpensive way to connect our mp3 players to take our music with us.

The product I’ve got for review today does just that, it inexpensively connects your portable mp3 player to your car stereo or any other stereo so you can take your music on the go, it’s an FM Transmitter from our friends at USBFever. It utilizes the stations that are not in use in your area to transmit the music from your audio player to your stereo, it’s very easy to use, small, lightweight and even features a dual power source. So read on to check it out…

Boynq D’Light Portable USB LED Light @ [OC]ModShop

December 22nd, 2007 by Kristofer

Boynq markets the Dlight as a way to set the mood. Personally, I have never had someone trying to get it on set me in a computer chair, click on a USB light, and cue the Marvin Gaye. If youre a dude looking for a way to seduce a chick, Im pretty sure no USB light it going to make up for your lack of personality or looming computer tower. And if youre a chick trying to seduce a dude wait what!?

Alright. Enough with the smut. The Boynq Dlight is one of the weirdest USB gadgets I have ever used.and the least useful. Besides being used as a mood starter, the Dlight is supposed to illuminate your keyboard to make those late night term papers easier on the eyes.
