Review Link: http://www.testfreaks.com/blog/review/brother-mfc-790cw-color-inkjet-all-in-one-printer/

Review Snipit:
“A little while ago I took a look at an excellent all-in-one printer from Epson, the Workforce 600, today for review I’ve got another, this one is from Brother, it’s the MFC-790CW. It’s almost as feature packed as the Epson, but the Brother has a phone built in, LCD touchscreen and voice messaging center as well, something the Epson did not have. “

Title: Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Printer Review @ TestFreaks.com

Review Link: http://www.testfreaks.com/blog/review/epson-workforce-600-all-in-one-printer-review/

Review Snipit:
“On the review block today is the Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Printer, and as soon as you open the box you’ll be impressed by this printer. My wife, who normally couldn’t care about the stuff I get for review, was thoroughly impressed by this printer, so that’s saying something right there. Anyway, the WorkForce 600 just looks great, even without powering it on you can just see that this thing means business, but yet look stylish enough to fit in your home. After all, the WorkForce 600 is meant for small and home businesses, so it’s made to be a work horse and that it is. The 600 includes some great features like WiFi capabilities, laser quality printing, fast printing speeds, built-in memory card reader, and even an LCD to preview your pictures and operate the 600 easily. “

Samsung SCX 4300 @ InsideHW

June 29th, 2008 by Kristofer

InsideHW.com has posted review about laser multifunctional printer
Samsung SCX 4300. You can read a clip from review:

…”SCX 4300 is newest product from very successful Samsung SCX
series A4 monochrome laser multifunctional printers. There were no
revolutionary products in this product category for a long time, but SCX
4300 is device that brings few innovations regarding to SCX 4200. These
innovations are related only to esthetics and printing speed. Differences
between SCX 4300 and its predecessor SCX 4200 are: insignificant shape
change, black color and a little bit faster printing results. Connection
with computer is realized through fast USB 2.0 connection, and direct
communication between user and device is achieved through a large number of
command keys and two-line display.”…

BIOS REVIEW: Epson Stylus Photo R1900

June 19th, 2008 by Kristofer

Coming from a company with a well-earned reputation for high-quality photo printer output, the Stylus Photo R1900’s UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 Ink works in harmony with the LUT technology and Epson paper to deliver outstanding photo quality for advanced photographers - the level you’d expect from a photo lab for professionals rather than from your local high-street store. It’s not quite as good as Epson’s flagship Stylus Photo R2400, but for the price it’s a fantastic overall machine. The only gripes are perhaps the lack of an LCD and memory card slots for computer-independent printing, but the Stylus Photo R1900 isn’t really designed for quickly printing holiday snaps - it’s a serious printer for those who take their photography passionately. If you’re not in a hurry you should bear in mind that Epson’s new UltraChrome K3 ink printers are due to ship soon. The K3 ink set is a superior ink to the Hi-Gloss2 inks fitted in the Stylus Photo R1900, which is why they’re used in all of Epson’s Professional printer models. But if you need a good all-round printer today, take a closer look if you’re a serious amateur photographer or professional on a budget - along with Canon’s equally impressive Pixma Pro9000.”

BIOS REVIEW: I.R.I.S. IRIScan Executive 2 Portable Scanner

June 6th, 2008 by Kristofer

I.R.I.S.’s latest portable sheetfed scanner is a compact (274×47x34mm; 360g) and well presented unit for scanning and organising a relatively wide variety of colour documents up to 215×355mm (Legal size) on the go. It’s particularly well suited to business executives needing to digitise paperwork (such as POs, invoices and receipts), but it’s equally useful for students and others who have a need for getting data from paper onto a computer.”

BIOS REVIEW: Lexmark X9575 Professional All-in-One

June 6th, 2008 by Kristofer

Similar to the X4875 and other models in the Professional Series inkjet line, the biggest selling point of the X9575 is the new warranty program from Lexmark that includes next-business-day replacement for up to one year after purchase. Furthermore, both high-yield and standard-yield cartridges are available for this series, should you intend to do larger print runs. At the top of the new line is the X9575, which offers built-in automatic two-sided printing, colour print speeds of up to 5ppm (11ppm for black), a 48-bit flatbed colour scanner, and pigmented inks that are highlighter, water and smudge.”

BIOS REVIEW: Canon PIXMA MX850 All-In-One Printer

June 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

The PIXMA MX850 is a really good all-in-one printer that offers an exceptional range of features and great overall performance for small and home offices. Its print quality and speed suit small-business environments well, while its premium photo printing engine offers the additional versatility of occasional photo printing. Text was crisp and perfectly legible - almost comparable to laser quality - and photo prints were similarly impressive. However, photos don’t have quite the range of hue that 6-colour PIXMAs such as the PIXMA MP970 can produce, and scan quality wasn’t up to par. Still, the PIXMA MX850 is one of the best inkjet-based business all-in-ones currently on the market.”

BIOS REVIEW: Pentax PocketJet 3 Plus Bluetooth

May 29th, 2008 by Kristofer

The PocketJet 3 is pricey and prints only on special paper, but it’s more convenient than a portable inkjet if you need to print black text in out-of-the-way places. If you need a portable greyscale printer to carry on a business trip, or find yourself increasingly wanting to print documents face to face with customers (such as invoices, purchase orders and so on), the Pentax PocketJet 3 Plus may fit the bill. But with its £499 price tag and no paper feeder for letter-size sheets, you’re paying a premium for portability.”

BIOS REVIEW: Canon PIXMA MP970 Photo All-In-One Printer

May 29th, 2008 by Kristofer

The PIXMA MP970 does everything well. The print head can be removed and cleaned or replaced without having to take it to someone else to be serviced, it is reasonably quiet when printing, energy efficient and produces excellent results. The owner’s manual is well written, but the printer is so easy to use that the manual will not be needed much. The paper output tray can remain closed and will open automatically once a print job has started, and the hidden bottom paper cartridge is nicely tucked away and goes unnoticed. The slide/negative holder is also conveniently hidden away under the top of the scanner lid. Overall this all-in-one can outperform any HP or Epson product in the same class. Colour photo printing is accurate and monochrome printing offers laser-like quality. The only major downside is that it’s very bulky - make sure you have enough room for this monster.”

BIOS review: Lexmark X4875 Professional All-in-One

May 24th, 2008 by Kristofer

When it comes to scanning the X4875 was fine for making digital backups of letters and passports. But if you want to digitise photos to enlarge later, you’ll ideally need a resolution of 2400×4800ppi, which is only possible with software enhancement. Scan were typically low resolution, and grainy. The device can easily produce readable (if not necessarily beautiful) photocopies of documents, but it’s not suitable for bulk copying or making pristine reproductions of photos. Nevertheless, the X4875 is a very handy home-office addition for weekend workers who don’t require a fax.”
