Logitech Cordless Desktop S520 Review @ OCIA.net

October 6th, 2008 by Kristofer

OCIA.net has posted their review of the Logitech Cordless Desktop S520.  Below is a direct quote from the review:
Logitech knows a thing or two about being successful and they have injected this knowledge into their business model. They know that you have to supply a steady stream of new and innovative products to keep customers coming back. They are also well aware that you need a wide range of products, from high end gear all the way down to items that will fit any budget. It is with this mindset that Logitech released the Cordless Desktop S520 last month, the latest addition to their keyboard + mice combos that checks in at a very attractive price point.”

Playit3D.com - Review: Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

October 6th, 2008 by Kristofer

Playit3D Review: Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

“Now Logitech are popular with their gaming gear on the market with some very strong joysticks, keyboards and gaming mice. The G11 Keyboard is just an addition to their massive array.  It’s by far one of the nicest keyboards I’ve had the pleasure of typing & gaming with.  But does it really have what it takes to be a gamer’s best friend especially in his time of need?  Let’s see.”

“The G11 Logitech Keyboard is a Toned down version of the larger G-15 version which features a built in LCD screen.   However nothing is lost the G-11 is still a strong keyboard.  With some great abilities under its belt its great value for money.  It’s larger than most other keyboards this is down to the 18G programmable keys which Logitech have kindly given us.  Now that is probably one of its greatest features.  Each “G” key can be customized by yourself to do whatever you want to.  It helps when playing online games in which you need to quickly change your setup or weapon load out.  Very useful when playing games like world of warcraft. ”

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard @ Techgage.com

September 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: Logitech Illuminated Keyboard @ Techgage

Link: http://techgage.com/article/logitech_illuminated_keyboard/

Quote: Logitech’s diNovo Edge is undeniably a great-looking keyboard, but it’s also undeniably expensive. The new Illuminated Keyboard promises to deliver a lot of the same features, such as a thin frame, backlit keys, smooth key presses and a slick design - but for close to half the price of the Edge. Should you be getting ready to pick one up at launch?

Thrustmaster T-X3 Charge Hub for Sony PS3 Review

September 20th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of the Thrustmaster T-X3 Charge Hub for the Sony PS3.

Quote from the review:
“Today we looking at a PS3 accessory from Thrustmaster called the T-X3 Charge Hub. The hub charges two PS3 controllers and adds needed USB ports to the PS3.
We play lots of PS3 around my house, specifically we really like Rock Band.
The problem when you have all four ports on the PS3 packed with drums, guitars and a mic is that when a normal PS3 controller goes dead, you can’t even connect it to the system to use while it recharges. Thrustmaster has a product that fixes this issue called the T-X3 Charge Hub. Read on for all the details of the T-X3 Charge Hub.”

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard Review

September 11th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of the new Logitech Illuminated Keyboard.

Quote from the review:
“Today we are looking at the new Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. The keyboard is the first from Logitech that is backlit and not aimed at gamers.

The first thing you notice about the keyboard is how thin it is. The 9.3 mm profile makes for a very flat and comfortable typing position. The PerfectStroke key system provides one of the best keyboards for typing I have ever used. The keys are very responsive, have great travel, and offer a slight click when pressed. Overall tactile feel is excellent. The typing feel is so good that the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is now the only keyboard I type on.”

Hardware Bistro KWorld Plus TV Hybrid USB Stick Pro 325U Review

August 21st, 2008 by Kristofer

KWorld Plus TV Hybrid USB Stick Pro supports both digital and analog TV but do you need both of them? I believe most of the users do not require a TV turner card that need to have support both of them except for those who is always traveling from one country to another then it is good to have this kind of TV turner card. If the price doesn’t much higher than normal digital or analog TV turner card, then it is no doubt why not get it. Overall, we are quite impressed by the KWorld Plus TV Hybrid USB Stick Pro by it great features and performance so it deserved a gold award from us.

Bridgeview 2-Port USB/DVI KVM Switch With Audio Review

August 11th, 2008 by Kristofer

Bridgeview 2-Port USB/DVI KVM Switch With Audio Review motherboards.org

Author: Doc Overclock Date: 08-10-2008

One of the big positives of this KVM Switch can also be a slight negative. The Bridgeport BR-U1021DA KVM Switch is small which looks good, but almost could get lost in the cabling of two computers if not placed in the right spot. Otherwise, the switch worked immediately out of the box, with no issues as to compatibility with a Vista computer and a Mac working at the same time. KVM Switches like the Bridgeport 2-Port USB/DVI KVM switch with audio are absolutely necessary for anyone wanting to operate more than one computer at a time in the same room at the ease of a click between using them both. This switch is very easy to use and setup and offers simple and efficient productivity from one very small unit.

OCZ Alchemy Elixir Keyboard @ Phoronix

August 11th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: OCZ Alchemy Elixir Keyboard @ Phoronix
Direct Link: http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=12725
Summary: “When thinking of OCZ Technology what comes to mind? High-end DDR3? DDR2 with large and unique heatspreaders? Their Neural Impulse Actuator? Chances are you’re thinking of them for their memory products they’ve been manufacturing for eight years, but not for any OCZ-branded keyboards. However, OCZ has done just that and they’ve introduced their very first keyboard targeted towards gamers. The Elixir Keyboard is part of OCZ’s growing Alchemy series of gaming products. We’re not terribly surprised that OCZ has introduced a keyboard, seeing as this company is extremely innovative and has been on the fast track since acquiring PC Power & Cooling and Hypersonic PC last year. Today at Phoronix we are checking out this first OCZ keyboard named the Elixir.”

BIOS REVIEW: Sharp Aquos BD-HP20H Blu-Ray Player

August 9th, 2008 by Kristofer

With a display that can accept 1080p/24fps signals, this player’s picture quality is truly top class. Detail is astonishing and colours are vivid and lifelike. SD DVDs don’t fare so well compared to a dedicated DVD player with upscaling but they’re still good. A bigger issue for multimedia junkies is the lack of media support - MP3, WMA, JPEG and DivX files are not compatible. The player also lacks resume (of a Blu-ray Disc), which is annoying if you have stop a movie unexpectedly or change a setting from the menu. If you are looking for a reasonably priced entry into the world of high-def movies, then you could do a lot worse than choose this one. At this price, it’s a steal - especially for Sharp Aquos HDTV owners.”

OCZ Alchemy Elixir Gaming Keyboard Review @ OCIA.net

August 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

CIA.net has posted their review of the OCZ Alchemy Elixir Gaming Keyboard.  Below is a direct quote from the review:
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last eight years, you’ve no doubt heard of OCZ. In August of 2000 they started out with a determination to manufacture the best high speed DDR available. And while they’ve certainly built their reputation on the performance and reliability of their memory, OCZ has branched out to provide enthusiasts with other products as well, most notably power supplies and coolers. Today I have something totally new from OCZ, the Alchemy Elixir gaming keyboard.

Building the Perfect Keyboard @ OCModShop

July 29th, 2008 by Kristofer

There have been lots and lots of keyboards over the years, and most of the fancier ones try to enhance usability or implement some new feature that we can’t live without. Most of the time designers guess wrong, and implement a useless set of features, or take away things we have finally become used to. As of today, there is no one keyboard that can please everyone, which makes it difficult for the PC enthusiast who listens to music, does office work or programming, and gaming.

So, what does it take to build a perfect “everyman” keyboard that would rule them all? What features do we really need, and what can we live without? As a usability specialist and consumer analyst, I present to you what we should be looking for in the next generation of keyboards.

I4U: Man & Machine UCool Keyboard Review

July 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of the Man & Machine UCool Keyboard.

Quote from the review:
“Despite looking like a plain old keyboard, the UCool can be full submerged for cleaning and has drain holes to help get the water out. Typing feel is good and the keyboard works very well overall.

The key layout is standard QWERTY and a number pad is included as well. The hallmark of the UCool Keyboard is the fact that it can be fully submerged for cleaning. It is important to note here that the USB connect shouldn’t be submerged when cleaning.”

EVO-G Mouse Bungee MB1 review

July 23rd, 2008 by Kristofer

There are countless accessories out there for your computer, ranging from extremely useful to just downright goofy and pointless and the mouse bungee is one of those product that is rather pointless, or at least so I thought…

Today for review I’ve got the Evo-G MB1 Mouse Bungee, and it’s one of those products that at one point I thought was rather useless, that is until I actually got it and tried it out. I’ve got a SteelSeries Ikari Optical Gaming Mouse that I use as my main mouse, it’s a great mouse but the cord is rather stiff, at times it gets caught on my mouse pad, and sometimes, due to its’ stiffness it lifts up and catches on my speaker, it gets annoying but I’ve lived with it for a while now just dealing with it. So Evo-G sent me their Mouse Bungee for review, and I never really thought much of this type of product, but now I can’t live without it, it keep mys cord up and out of the way, it never gets caught on anything now and I no longer have the annoyance of my mouse cord getting stuck somewhere…

So continue on to check out a great little product…

I4U: Man & Machine Really Cool Keyboard Review

July 19th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of the Really Cool Keyboard by Man & Machine.

Quote from the review:
“Today we are taking a look at the Really Cool Keyboard from Man & Machine. This keyboard has basic features with its main use being for environments where water or germs are an issue.

No software is required for operation of the Really Cool Keyboard on a Windows computer. You simply plug the Really Cool Keyboard in and turn on the computer and the keyboard works. The keys of the Really Cool Keyboard are sealed for water resistance and are spaced wider apart than some keyboards I have used and the keys are smaller than your typical keyboard.”
