Review Snipit:
“Today I’ve got the HTC Fuze for review, it’s the new Windows Mobile based phone from AT&T, this phone goes by a few names and there are quite a few variations of it floating around the cellular networks right now. I’m sure by this point most of you know this phone, it’s been hyped for quite a while, but is it worth the hype? Is it really all that? “

Lamptron PC Case Handles Review @ OCModShop

September 19th, 2008 by Kristofer

My personal opinion on casemodding is not so much that is has died, more that it has slowed down. This could be that the older kinds of modders (me included) didn’t have all the luxurious items that are available today. We used to make our own LED-fans and CCFLs. We bought those things at specialty electronics stores; back in the day when the blue LEDs were brand new (and sold for 8 dollars). Blue was THE color back then. Although things might have slowed down in that way, the big modding forums still reign supreme and will laugh at my comments here ;) although I?m guilty I too am still on those forums lurking getting ever to hungry to mod on my own again.

DIY Case Mods - Suitcase turned into PC

August 21st, 2008 by Kristofer

NEW CONTENT (Casing & Cooling) - DIY Case Mods - Suitcase turned into PC

QUOTE: “Up on the bench today we have a special DIY workshop tutorial in building your own LAN party case on a budget. We take an ordinary cheap flight case and mount a full PC inside so you can truck it to and from the party with ease.

With the case closed up and ugly-lid hidden away, we see that this unit doesn’t look half bad from the outside! - With no more weight than the components inside, this unit is easy enough to carry around to and from LAN parties. And I’m about to do just that…”

NZXT Sentry LX Fan Controller Review

August 14th, 2008 by Kristofer

Not much has changed in how we keep our computers cool, we use fans, yes I know there are other solutions but the most common is the typical fan to pull air fresh cool air into our cases and exhaust the hot air out. For the most part this system works well, but there are always ways of improving the system if we look hard enough, one way is a fan controller, this not only controls the speeds of the fans but can also help quiet a loud fan.

Up on the review block today we’ve got the Sentry LX Aluminum Dual Bay Fan Controller from NZXT and it’s very well made, easy to install and even easier to use. The Sentry LX is a stylish black colored aluminum with diamond cut accents so it will fit in nicely with most any chassis.

So continue on to learn more about the Sentry LKX and see why this is the fan controller for you…

Scythe Kaze Master Fan Controller @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

July 1st, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: Scythe Kaze Master Fan Controller @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: With the ever increasingly popular gaming cases - such as the Twelve Hundred which we reviewed at Tech-reviews yesterday – more and more fans are being added to cases. This is good in the way of cooling; hence better performance from components, however installing lots of fans increases the noise levels of computers considerably. To drop these noise levels, you need control over your fans and if you don’t have mystic powers, one such product that achieves this is a fan controller. Fortunately, we’ve been lucky enough to review a fan controller from reputable manufacturer Scythe. Introducing the Scythe Kaze Master…

AcoustiPack Ultimate Sound Dampening @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

July 1st, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: AcoustiPack Ultimate Sound Dampening @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: We’ve rambled on about silent products a lot lately at Tech-Reviews. One product we’ve tried to avoid is sound dampening - due to rumours of the rather time consuming installation this product entails. However, without using sound dampening, we’ve found it nearly impossible to silence our rig completely. Given the chance to review some of Acousti Products’ latest acoustic material kits, the AcoustiPack Ultimate, we simply couldn’t turn the offer down.

Lamptron Case Lighting Products @ APH Networks

June 27th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: Lamptron Case Lighting Products @ APH Networks

* Description: When it comes to customization of personal computers, no one can disregard the popularity of the application of lighting effects — it seems that adding lights are the basics of case modding. The funny thing is that the use of case lights in the general custom built personal computer market are decreasing in popularity in the computer scene as far as I can see — I haven’t used any lights since my pair of cold cathodes went on fire in 2005 (Hey, I’m not kidding. It smelled really bad). I’m not the only one though, many enthusiasts with nice cases and large side windows either didn’t install any lights at all, or simply did it in a half-hearted fashion. That did not turn me away from case lighting though; the reason why I did not have any case lights for the past few years is that I was simply too lazy to find some. Not to mention that while there’s an abundance of such products in the market, but none of them really appealed to my tastes because they are all so… generic, or simply just trying way too hard to be unique that ironically inhibited its very purpose. Of course, that’s not until Lamptron contacted us with their huge array of unique case lighting products that’s actually practical in my opinion. Today, we’ll take a look at five out of the many products from Lamptron, and see how they fit in with my Silverstone KL-02 which incorporates a huge window on the side. If you’ve been following my computer photo posts for a while, you may have seen them already, if you haven’t, they look absolutely beautiful. I won’t waste anymore of your time, let’s jump to the details.

June 13th, 2008 by Kristofer

Tech-Reviews.co.uk has completed the review for the MSI NX8800GT Zilent.

Title: Lamptron UV Cathodes @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: Case modding has become a more prominent factor in hardware junkies when purchasing cases as the need to make your computer look “cool” is important to many.

As far as case modding goes, UV cathodes are very good at making your pc’s internals look cool. With this in mind Lamptron have sent over some for me to review so lets light ‘em up and see what’s what.
