The aim of TestFreaks.com is to collect product reviews from everywhere, eventually all product reviews will be aggregated by us and incorporated into our main site. The premise or idea behind this is to collect these reviews and average them out to provide a score that a user can understand when trying to find more information about a product. We also collect user reviews as well, so the average consumer can see and learn what people just like him or her have to say about a product.
It’s December, the end of the year basically, and we’ve collected the top products from our categories on the main site to show you the best of the best this year according to how you and the professionals rated them. The first up is cell phones, we’ve reviewed a few cell phones here at TestFreaks, but we all know there are plenty more out there, here’s the top five phones for 2008 as rated by users and professionals.
Like a rocket, Samsungs new smartphone Omnia hit Krusell’s Top 10 list for November!
-I believe that this is Samsung’s first No 1 position since we begin to publish the Krusell Top List, says Ulf Sandberg MD at Krusell. Nokia still has a very strong position; an “old” device such as 6300 is holding the second place, which is pretty surprising. For next month I foresee that Omnia will be challenged by LG’s new smartphone Renoir, which is predicted to be a volume seller in the high-end segment.
The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, releases its “Top 10″-list for November 2008. The list is based on number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases ordered from Krusell during November 2008.Krusell’s list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones in six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.
Facts:
Krusell International AB with 130 million SEK in turnover and 330 employees is a Swedish company exporting high-end cases around the world. After more than 15 years in the cell phone industry, Krusell is established as one of the leading brands in its niche. Besides cases for mobile and smart phones, Krusell also produces cases for PDAs, digital cameras, MP3-players and portable gaming. Most Krusell cases sold are equipped with their patented carrying solution, Multidapt. The headquarters of Krusell are located in Mölndal, Sweden.

Review Snipit:
“Today for review I’ve got the Archos 7 320gb Internet Media Tablet, the 7 in the title meaning a 7 inch screen. It’s essentially the same as the Archos 5, but only a larger screen and hard drive capacity, I saw no real differences between the two at all except for those two things. Going from the 5 inch screen to the 7 inch screen might not seem like much, but it really is, it makes everything look so much nicer and even makes the Archos Internet Media Tablet a bit easier to use as well.”
Today I’ve got another SPB product for review, it’s version 3.0 of their Wireless Monitor. I’ve never had the chance to play with any of their earlier versions so I’m not sure how much of a difference their is between them, but I can can tell you about this version, how it works and my impressions.
So I figured why not make it three in row of iPod nano cases reviewed, sounds good to me anyway…
The last two iPod nano cases I reviewed were plastic, today I’ve got an aluminum one that offers sort of a bit more protection for your iPod. The Aluminum housing of course is a bit more durable than plastic, but it doesn’t include a screen protector, you’ll have to provide one of those yourself, or just deal with it. The case is padded on the inside though so it should protect the nano from the shock of being dropped, and of course the padding protects the nano of being scratched by the metal housing.

“So, it’s time for yet another cellphone review, this time I’ve got another from our friends over at Samsung called the Propel. It’s a slider phone of a different sort as when you slide it you reveal a full QWERTY keyboard to make sending text messages and overall text input much easier. The Propel is a fairly lightweight phone even though it is rather large, it’s got excellent call quality, great battery life and it even takes good pictures. It’s an all around great little phone that anyone who types a lot will appreciate and even if you don’t I think you’ll like having a full keyboard only a slide away. “
Normally I write over at Tiltmobilty every once in a while when I get some free time, but I recently got my hands on the Fuze and I thought an unboxing video and a few still pics would be nice to throw over here.
So continue on after the jump to check out the video and several pictures I took as well of the Fuze and it’s accessories..
Hello, Hello! It’s Friday, and it’s been quite while since I’ve taken a look at any media conversion programs, so, as you can see by the title up there, today I’m taking a look at Daniusoft Media Converter. The program is quick to convert as it does utilize quad core CPUs, and it’s easy to use, it’s a bit on the expensive side, but it does also convert media, and remove DRM. What the legalities are there I’m not to sure, but I just review ‘em, that’s what I know and do…
As a reviewer, I get to play with some cool tech gadgets and every once in awhile, something unique and exciting comes my way. Today I will look at one of these products. Ewoo, the makers of the eFizz Travel, have the released HandMusic. This is an accessory for the iPod and is really distinctive.
The HandMusic is a remote control and docking station plus a whole lot more. It allows the user control of the iPod from virtually anywhere within your home. Ewoo uses a 2.4 Ghz radio link allowing the remote to function from up to 500 feet away. The remote features a 1.8” TFT LCD display that lets the user control their iPod/iPhone from a distance with an interface that is very similar to the iPod’s.
So, three days ago SPB Released the newest version of one of their more useful products, SPB Keyboard, and three days ago was also the release of the Fuze which I’m sure you’re all aware of by now. I wanted to post this on the release date, but I didn’t want it over-shadowed by all of the hoopla over the Fuze.
This is more of a video review than anything, I’ve got a nice 1080i video for you after the jump and a couple screenshots along with the specs etc..

“We’ve taken a look at a few phones here on TestFreaks, but no smartphones, until today that is. I’ve got the Samsung Epix for review, it’s a Windows Mobile 6.1 based phone that has quite a few great features including a built in optical mouse, touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 320×320 screen and even a 2.0 megapixel camera. The optical mouse has got to be one of the best features of this phone, it makes using WinMo much easier and actually kinda fun, no more tapping the screen with your finger or getting out stylus for navigation, just use you thumb to move the cursor around the screen and click. ”

” Last Friday I took a look at the Pantech Matrix, this week I’ve got another Pantech phone, the C610 Lena . The C610 is a flip style phone with quite a few features that most people will like, it’s got Bluetooth stereo, still and video camera, video sharing, to name a few of the features. “
Review Snipit:
“The Matrix features a dual slider with standard keypad and full qwerty keyboard that allows for quick and easy texting and emailing. It also features a video camera that you can zoom while recording, a 1.3MP still camera, Bluetooth, MP3 player and even XM radio. “

“The Jawbone Bluetooth headset is one of the most popular on the market today, and they’ve recently released a version 2 which has been redesigned with a sleeker, more stylish look, and smaller profile, but yet retaining the same excellent noise elimination qualities of the original Jawbone. “
If this isn’t some eye candy I don’t know what is! Check out the AT&T Fuze in all it’s glory! This is obviously a pre-production unit as the AT&T Badge of Honor is not displayed on the device. The mutilated AT&T keyboard is a dead giveaway so this has got to be the real deal. Also there is an almost official looking Specifications Sheet on HTC Wiki.com that doesn’t have anything we don’t already know.

“Descend into the world of Fieldrunners, the most anticipated and visually stunning game in mobile Tower Defense history! Defend and control the field using a diverse selection of upgradeable towers in a limitless adventure, using a wide array of tactics and strategies against countless waves of unique land and air combatants!”
The original Jawbone from Aliph was one of the most highly regarded Bluetooth headsets released. Recently, Aliph released the successor to the Jawbone, aptly named the New Jawbone. Aliph refers to it as the New Jawbone on their website while others call it the Jawbone 2. Today we will look at what differentiates the Jawbone 2 from all other Bluetoooth headsets and whether it should be the only headset paired with your cell phone.
The reputation of the Jawbone is one of superior sound quality and stylishness. Aliph took the original version and slimmed it down while keeping many of the features of the original. It still includes the military grade noise reduction technology known as NoiseAssassin. Plus, it keeps its minimalistic stylish appearance, which looks more like some fashion item for your ear than a blinking blue LED lit piece of plastic.
So let’s take a closer look at whether the New Jawbone is worth the investment.

” The Samsung SHG-A837 Rugby was announced last week, and it’s a military spec certified phone that truly is rugged and tough, it should be able to withstand most anything thrown at it, literally! So I’ve replaced my trusty AT&T Tilt with the Rugby for a week and I’ve found that it’s great basic phone, but lacks in some areas like pictures and videos, then again picture taking and videos are not the main feature of this phone, the military certification is….”
There are various devices to charge your iPod or iPhone in a motor vehicle. At dragonsteelmods, we have reviewed several of these types of chargers. But, what if you wanted to charger your iPod/iPhone and a second device at the same time?
Well, our friends at USBFever have the solution for this issue. The In Car 2-in-1 USB and Charger for iPhone / iPod provides a spare USB port on the charger to accommodate any USB charged device, ranging from cell phones to GPS units, in addition to a cable for charging an iPhone/iPod.
Cellphones have invaded everywhere, pretty much everyone has one from kids to their grandparents, they are by far, the most popular gadget out there today. With the prevalence of cellphones comes numerous accessories and I think the most popular of those are bluetooth headsets, especially when many places have outlawed driving while talking unless you are using a handsfree headset.
Today for review I’ve got the new Jabra BT530 BlueTooth Headset with Noise Blackout and I’ve found it to be a great choice if you’re on the market for a new BT headset. Noise Blackout is just Jabra’s fancy wording for noise cancellation, but it truly works does work, and is a great feature of the BT530 along with ease of use and the ability to play music as well. The BT530 is small, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and overall it’s a great choice for your BT needs, so continue on to learn more about it…
Hey guys and gals, I’m back with another installment in my series on video conversion programs to be used to transfer your movies to the Tilt!
This week I’ve got an ‘official’ review, the folks over at Wondershare emailed me and asked me to check out their video conversion software, this isn’t a DVD ripper but just for converting your already existing videos to a format compatible with your Tilt or other phones of course.
Wondershare Video Convertor Platinum can convert to many formats and not just to PPC, so it’s actually a very useful program for any of your video conversion needs.
NEW CONTENT (Mobile) - Samsung F400 Bang & Olufsen Music Phone
QUOTE:“Now, phones aren’t usually my forte, but when Samsung asked if I wanted to review their new MP3 spouting mini-boom box of a phone, I couldn’t really say no. The real clincher was the Bang & Olufsen speakers embedded in the phone, which appealed to the audiophile in me.
Unpacking it from its box, we can see that what the customer demands from a phone manufacturer these days is EVERYTHING. You get much more than just a charger and a little headset; with this phone we get a beefy looking set of headphones with in-line mic, data cable, software and a 1GB MicroSD card to boot.”
So I always seem to forget to charge my phone and thankfully I got a nice car charger from Boxwave, but it just recently died on me… I plugged my
phone in and nothing, nothing at all…bummer to say the least…
Luckily our friends at USBFever just sent me the Universal Slim Car Charger for review, I guess USBFever saved the day for me with this excellent little product. It’s your basic USB car adapter, it’s small and it even has a replaceable fuse, and that’s about it, it works and works well…
