SilverStone Raven RVM01B Mouse @ Phoronix

September 30th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: SilverStone Raven RVM01B Mouse @ Phoronix
Direct Link: http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=12893
Summary: “While SilverStone Technology has long been known for their high-end (and very expensive) computer cases such as the Sugo and Temjin series, as of late they’ve begun manufacturing other computer peripherals while driving new and interesting innovations into these conventional products. Earlier this month we looked at the SilverStone Treasure TS01, which was a 2.5" SATA drive enclosure, but separating it from the other enclosure devices on the market, this one would encrypt the drive and secure it using two RFID keys. If these small keys were not exposed to the TS01, the drive enclosure would not work. Another interesting creation from SilverStone Technology is the Raven RVM01B. This here is SilverStone’s first computer mouse and we are looking at it today.”

Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks @ Rbmods

September 18th, 2008 by Kristofer

Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks:

Link: http://www.rbmods.com/Articles/Logitech/Nano_v550/1.php

Quote: Todays review will actually be about a notebook mouse. When it comes to notebooks people tend to want a normal mouse to work with but it might be hard to carry around a bulky big mouse with a wire or big signal receiver. Logitech have solved both of these problems by releasing the V550 Nano Cordless mouse. There is no cord nor is there a big bulky receiver, how have they done it then?

OCZ Dominatrix Gaming Mouse

September 9th, 2008 by Kristofer

NEW CONTENT (Miscellanous) - OCZ Dominatrix Gaming Mouse

QUOTE: “Today we have the new OCZ Dominatrix on the slab, ready for a bit of rough and tumble. Many of our loyal readers will have an un-nerving sense of déjà vu as this mouse looks pretty much identical to the Cybersnipa I reviewed not too long ago. Well, in truth they appear to be the same mouse chassis with a few tweaks to the aesthetics.

Now we will find out just how different they are in the details. The OCZ edition has opted for the blue rubberised grip which is a solid choice as I like the rubber on this grip; it’s a soft and silky silicon feel but it doesn’t leave your hand sweating and struggling for grip.”

Razer Lachesis 4000DPI Mouse @ Phoronix

September 8th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: Razer Lachesis 4000DPI Mouse @ Phoronix
Direct Link: http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=12815
Summary: “Over the years of Razer launching new products such as the Copperhead, Barracuda HP-1, and Tarantula, we have been completely overtaken by their incredibly well-designed products — primarily their high-end gaming mice — and the bar they continue to raise with each new iteration of products they introduce. The Razer Copperhead was one of their best mice to have been introduced and it contained a laser sensor with 2000 DPI capabilities, but their newest mouse is the Lachesis and it uses a 4000DPI 3G laser sensor. However, with Razer having yet to provide any drivers or customization software for the advanced capabilities of this mouse on Linux, is the Razer Lachesis worth its expensive price tag?”

NZXT Avatar Gaming Mouse

September 5th, 2008 by Kristofer

NEW CONTENT (Miscellaneous) - NZXT Avatar Gaming Mouse

QUOTE: “On the slab today we have the monolithic looking NZXT Avatar mouse in all its matt-black glory. Boasting a 2600 DPI optical sensor, fully customisable interface and an ambidextrous design, it certainly aims to please all.

This is new territory for NZXT, having never released a mouse before. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up with the plethora of clickers on the market. Sitting on my desk is this little black box, with no markings aside from an embossed “NZXT” in one corner; reminds me of a certain movie with monkeys and bones…”

Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse Review

August 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse.

Quote from the review:
“Today we are looking at the Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Mouse. This mouse has some features you don’t commonly see outside of gaming mice.

The MX 1100 is the first non-gaming mouse I have seen with a switch for adjusting sensitivity. The adjustment is towards the front of the mouse, right next to the left main mouse button. The scroll wheel can be pressed for middle mouse button click. This was something several previous Logitech mice using the free-wheel scroll wheel lacked.”

EVO-G Mouse Bungee MB1 review

July 23rd, 2008 by Kristofer

There are countless accessories out there for your computer, ranging from extremely useful to just downright goofy and pointless and the mouse bungee is one of those product that is rather pointless, or at least so I thought…

Today for review I’ve got the Evo-G MB1 Mouse Bungee, and it’s one of those products that at one point I thought was rather useless, that is until I actually got it and tried it out. I’ve got a SteelSeries Ikari Optical Gaming Mouse that I use as my main mouse, it’s a great mouse but the cord is rather stiff, at times it gets caught on my mouse pad, and sometimes, due to its’ stiffness it lifts up and catches on my speaker, it gets annoying but I’ve lived with it for a while now just dealing with it. So Evo-G sent me their Mouse Bungee for review, and I never really thought much of this type of product, but now I can’t live without it, it keep mys cord up and out of the way, it never gets caught on anything now and I no longer have the annoyance of my mouse cord getting stuck somewhere…

So continue on to check out a great little product…

Speedlink VOIP Mouse Review @ Rbmods

July 21st, 2008 by Kristofer

Speedlink VOIP Mouse Review:

Link: http://www.rbmods.com/Articles/Speedlink/Voip_mouse/1.php

Quote: Todays product must be one of the oddest things we have reviewed ever- and I’ve seen alot! We are going to take a look at Speedlinks VOIP mouse, this little mouse is the size of a laptop mouse and it opens up to be a corded Skype Phone. You can either receive calls or just make a call yourself. The small display shows you who is online and it allows you to call straight from the phone, to me those features don’t sound to bad but how well does it actually works is the question I ask myself.

Cyber Snipa PWNAGE Desktop

July 19th, 2008 by Kristofer

NEW CONTENT (Miscellaneous) - Cyber Snipa PWNAGE Desktop

QUOTE: “Today on the desk we have Cyber Snipa’s latest in hardcore gaming accessories; the Tracer backlit mouse mat, Stinger Laser gaming mouse and the Gamepad v2. This lethal setup will fit right at home for most gamers looking to have some dedicated hardware to bring home the headshots. Now let’s look at the specs for each item.

Looking at the setup overall; I think Cyber Snipa are on to something good here. The dwarf keyboard is great for hardcore gamers and the mouse is a serious contender for anyone who needs a laser mouse. Coupled with a mouse mat that keeps the mouse gliding smooth, there’s no way you can loose, unless of course you’re like me and suck at games…”

July 12th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: SteelSeries Ikari Gaming Mouse @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: The mouse – a word of two meanings: one is a small rodent commonly eaten by cats; the other is on of the most important pieces of hardware that without your computer could not be controlled effectively. So naturally the second of the two meanings needs great consideration whether a hardcore gamer or a basic user. Steel Series is a fairly new company to us at Tech-Reviews who specialise in gaming peripherals. One of their latest products is the SteelSeries Ikari coming in both laser and optical formats. Can it live up to the importance of its job?
