Reporting live from Thecus booth at Computex 2008 in Taipei, it is packed with visitors who are looking for latest innovation in digital storage technology. During the exhibition, users have the opportunity to meet with the most outstanding NAS products from Thecus. This year, Thecus is introducing 5 new products to be launched this year, offering much higher data security and performance plus more functionalities and convenience.
Home users extremely enjoy the experience with the latest N4100PRO and M3800. Powered by AMD Geode LX800 CPU and 256MB of DDR memory, the N4100PRO is capable to provide supreme performance with much lower power consumption. The additional RAID 6 and 10 protection ensures higher data security. Also, M3800, the 3 bay NAS device with build-in multimedia player function, is a great sensation in the storage exhibition section. The M3800 can play digital content directly through your existing home theater system, featuring HDMI, component, and AV out. The visitors especially love the idea of having a remote control to operate the entire playback so they can enjoy movies, music, photos and more from the comfort of your living room couch.
Also, for enterprise and small/medium business users, the N7700 and N8800 are receiving great applause from visitors. The N7700 is the latest 7 bay tower NAS, equipped with powerful Intel® Celeron M 2.0 GHz CPU and a full GB of DDR2 memory. It is capable of handling a multitude of file serving tasks quickly and effectively. On the similar hardware platform, the N8800 is the 8 bays rack mount product, greatly appreciated by enterprise users. With free iSCSI initiator available, servers can access data via iSCSI protocol.
Visitors are surprised to meet the first miniPC from Thecus. With AMD Geode LX800 processor plus compact and fanless design, the miniPC can be applied to numbers of applications. Visitors are pleased to see such application oriented device from Thecus.
The overall reception on Thecus products from visitors is extremely warm. There are still couple days left for Computex. Visitors are welcomed to experience the latest digital storage technology first hand. For users who can not make it to Thecus booth, complete product information are available at Thecus website.

Title: Computex 2008 - Part 1 @ Virtual-Hideout
Article link: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/articles/Computex_2008_Day_1/index.shtml

Quote: “One of the biggest shows in the technology community each year is Computex. It’s located in Taipei, Taiwan and gathers thousands of the world’s biggest and best vendors to showcase their goods on the world stage. Computex shows of years past have been located in one main grouping of buildings located very close to each other and to the world famous Taipei 101 skyscraper. However this year Computex opened a brand new building to house a portion of the show. The good is that the new building is more spacious and modern. The bad part is that it’s located miles away from the old venue area. That really shook things up and made it a bit more tedious to cover the entire event.”

NEW CONTENT (News) - Video coverage of upcoming IKONIK PSU and case products
QUOTE: “During Computex Taipei 2008 last week we ran out of time to see the sheer amount of companies attending the event but today we got a chance to visit Kathy and her colleagues from IKONIK at their Taipei HQ.
The first thing they showed us was their MAD TWEAKER software. It will be a feature of all upcoming IKOKIK Vulcan power supplies that range from 650 watts all the way up to 1200 watts. MAD TWEAKER is the first real-time power supply monitoring software that interfaces with your system via USB as well as wireless infrared – the demo we saw was hooked up using USB as the wireless system is still being fine tuned. This means that you’ll not only be able to monitor and control things like fan speeds and LED lights (on and off switching) from your main system but also from say a notebook that is near the system with the Vulcan PSU installed.”

The last week at Computex 2008 went by as a breeze and we want to thank all of you who found the time to visit our booth and say hello. For those of you who couldn’t make it, we want to provide you with some information about our new products on show.
As in the last years, Coolink had a booth at Computex 2008 again, where we showed not only our current product lineup but also gave visitors and members of the international press a preview of our upcoming products.
The first new product on show was Coolink’s first high-performance thermal compound product named ‘Chillaramic’. Using ceramic nano-particles for excellent cooling performance and coming in a large tube of 10g, this product is set to launch in June 2008.
Also on show was the upcoming bigger brother of the popular GFXChilla video card cooler, which itself got numerous awards for its slim design approach while still providing very good cooling capabilities.
The target for the so called ‘Big GFXChilla’ is to provide users of highest-end cards and overclockers with a product that allows them to cool a high-performance card quietly. Of course, it will support next-generation products from ATI (RV770) and NVIDIA (GT200) while still retaining compatibility with existing and previous generation video cards.
The Big GFXChilla is scheduled for a release at the end of Q3/2008.
Further informations about our upcoming and existing products can be found on our website at http://www.coolink-europe.com/computex2008/ and http://www.coolink-europe.com.

NEW CONTENT (Computex Taipei 2008) - AMD’s upcoming 790GX mobos get an early showing
QUOTE: “AMD is not due to officially release its codenamed RS780D named 790GX chipset (along with SB750 chipset and AMD Overdrive Extreme overclock tweaking utility) until a little later but several companies were showing off their early design boards at Computex Taipei 2008 this week.
Our first stop was at MSI who had its K9A2GX-Digital motherboard on display for all to see. The MSI rep we spoke to mentioned that the board is nowhere near finished and the product we saw on display actually only arrived from the factory in China a couple days before the show began.”

NEW CONTENT (Computex Taipei 2008) - Albatron showcases multi-touch LCD panel (video)
QUOTE: “If you recall a movie called “Minority Report”, this tech will blow you away. In the upcoming Windows 7 operating system, Microsoft will introduce multi-touch finally that basically allows multiple input detection where as XP and Vista is still single.
Albatron had a special driver made for Vista which allows multi-touch and while it is nowhere near fine tuned at this stage, it does work surprisingly well even now.”

NEW CONTENT (Trade Shows) - Computex Taipei 2008 Booth Babes
QUOTE: “We are taking a break out from our live news coverage of Computex Taipei 2008 to touch on something that has become expected from us around this time every year. We had better not mention any names of the people that repeatedly ask us each year.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, we’re talking about the beautiful booth babes that occupy the Computex computer trade show halls here in Taipei, and now Nangang as of this year. We are already at Day 3 and as we walk around from meeting to meeting we snapped up plenty of photos of the girls working the show floor to help promote the many products and services on display.”
