We have just taken a look at the Crystal Air Jacket for the iPod Touch from PowerSupport that promises to take care of your tunes without adding weight or bulk. This is basically a hard shell for the iPod Touch with a couple of screen protectors included in the package. What impresses me the most is the rubber grommet that keeps dirt out of the dock connector. Take a look at our review for all the details.

I4U NEWS published a review of the Labyrinth Lite Edition for iPhone.
Quote from the review:
“Today we are looking at a great free application for the iPhone called Labyrinth Lite Edition. The lite version of the game has ten levels to play. The controls for the game are the star of the show and work very well.
To control the ball you tilt the iPhone in all directions. The controls are simply fantastic and are so accurate that you can place the ball with ease on the screen. The settings menu of the game has a spot for calibrating the game to the sensors in the iPhone. You set the iPhone on a flat surface, press calibrate, and you are done.”

So youve picked up a fancy new iPhone have you? Youve spent at lease two hundred dollars on one of the hippest phones available. What should happen if you ever dropped your baby? Well it would be scratched and perhaps even broken. How are you supposed to start conversation with other Apple enthusiasts or the average Joe if your iPhone looks like a piece of crap? Simple. You fork over some cash for the OtterBox Armor Case.
Previously, OCModShop reviewed an Armor Series case for the Apple iPod. Having read that article, you will find that the iPod and iPhone cases are very similar. If you already have an OtterBox case for your iPod and you now own an iPhone as well, it should be a no brainer to you that this would be a good investment.

Most tech products need to evolve or lose their place in the market, Palm is one well know company that has
suffered because of their lack of innovation. Products usually evolve, make significant changes for the better or make incremental improvements over previous generations, the newest iPhone dubbed the iPhone 3G is not an evolutionary upgrade but more of an incremental one. This does not mean that it is not a worthwhile upgrade.
Steve Jobs and Apple’s modus operandi is not to put all the bells and whistles in the 1st or 2nd generations of their products. Instead, they slowly include them through software/firmware updates and model revisions. The iPhone 3G primary goal is to address the wireless data speed that was severely crippled on the first iPhone because it relied on the slower EDGE data network. The newest model is named after the faster wireless network that it uses.
As per the wikipedia entry on 3G: “It is often suggested by industry sources that 3G can be expected to provide 384 kbit/s at or below pedestrian speeds, but only 128 kbit/s in a moving car.” These speeds are closer to DSL than dial up which the first iPhone clearly ran on.
Besides the speed upgrade in using 3G, the iPhone 3G also has true built in GPS. Do these two features warrant upgrading from your original iPhone?
Today I will look at the iPhone 3G and compare it to its predecessor.

Listening to the iPod in the car is always easier said than done. The most common ways to connect the iPod to a car stereo is with either a tape deck adapter or with a wireless FM transmitter. Most wireless transmitters are hindered by the fact that with enough driving, most empty frequencies end up with some radio transmissions, sooner or later, this leads to the static breakup of ones iPod signal.
Monster has found one work-around for this problem and today, we will be looking at their latest wireless FM transmitter, the Monster iCarPlay Wireless 250. This is the newest mobile audio accessory from the well know stereo cable company. Specifically designed for use with the iPod and iPhone, you can listen to your digital music collection while driving without any hassles.
Besides functioning as an FM transmitter, the Monster iCarPlay Wireless 250 also works as a USB charger. The USB cord detaches from the Cigarette Lighter Adapter and can be used as a transmitter around any FM radio/device. Plus the USB cable can be used as a charger via any USB 2.0 enabled port or with a Monster iSlimCharger or iCharger Travel USB wall charger.
The Monster iCarPlay Wireless 250 uses Monster AutoScan 3D technology, which triples scans the FM spectrum to locate and lock onto the clearest FM frequency.
These are just some of the features of the Monster iCarPlay Wireless 250. Let’s take a closer look at this product and see what other tricks Monster is holding up its sleeve.

“Great design and ease of use have made Apple’s iPod is the most popular digital music player in the world. The nano is the smallest iPod with a screen. Title: Rent movies instantly: Apple TV review
Link: http://spicygadget.com/2008/07/06/rent-movies-instantly-apple-tv-review/
Quote: “Movie rentals, movie rentals, movie rentals, did I mention movie rentals? We either drop by a brick and mortar store like Blockbuster or rent our movies by mail through Netflix. Driving out to a store or waiting for your movie in the mail isn’t so bad when you have no other alternatives, but what if I told you there was a better way? What if I said you could choose a movie and start watching it in under 30 seconds? If living in America for 25 years has taught me anything, it’s that we love instant gratification and convenience, which nicely sums up Apple TV movie rentals.”

Apple Wireless Keyboard Reviewed @ TheTechLounge
Quote:
“Mmm, Mac hardware. Sharp. Purposeful. Tasty. Downright industrial designelicious. Half of the people who make the vaunted switch do so because of this keyboard. I mean, not literally this keyboard, but because of the engineering and style that this wireless device is the apex embodiment of. The keyboard is small because it’s cut down; the keys are standard but a lot is sacrificed to make the whole package as miniscule as possible without cramping digits. I see a lot of potential in this input device, and not because it’s portable. But I also can’t help but wonder, can design be taken too far?”

I4U NEWS published a review of the Maximo iP-HS1 iMetal Stereo Headset for the Apple iPhone.
Quote from the review:
“Today we are looking at a headset for the iPhone called the Maximo iP-HS1 iMetal Stereo Headset. The headset has a built-in mic for making and receiving calls and a soft touch button that allows you to answer and hang up calls as well.
Sound quality from the Maximo iP-HS1 iMetal Stereo Headset is good with nice deep bass and crisp highs and mids. The headset works well for calls with clear and legible speech on both sides of the conversation. The mic does pick up a bit of extraneous room sounds, but not so much to be a real issue.”

NEW YORK, USA (AVING) — <Visual News> Griffin Technology will offer an assortment of chic, protective cases for Apple’s new iPhone 3G, to be timed with iPhone’s July 11th release next month.
New styles of Griffin’s cases for iPhone 3G include the already popular Wave, Nu Form, Elan Form and Elan Clip cases, with more to be available soon.
Wave for iPhone 3G
Wave for iPhone 3G features wave-shaped contours that overlap and interlock. The double-helix closure provides greater surface area to hold the case together, providing greater security and protection. Wave allows full access to audio jack, volume controls, connectors and touchscreen. The form-fitting case protects with durable polycarbonate at all corners, and is available in four interchangeable colors: black, blue, pink, or white.
Nu Form with EasyDock for iPhone 3G
Nu Form is an impact-resistant, hard-shell case that protects the iPhone 3G in a slim, no-clip design. It includes a rigid, thin screen protector that guards against smudges, scratches and fingerprints, but doesn’t interfere with access to the touchscreen. Its EasyDock design makes Nu Form convenient to charge and sync; just slide open the case bottom and pop the iPhone into its dock. Nu Form is available in black or white.
Elan Form with EasyDock for iPhone 3G
Elan Form is a hard-shell leather case that snaps snugly around the iPhone 3G and offers triple protection in a slim, no-clip design. It bonds top-grain leather to hard-shell polycarbonate material, encasing the iPhone in two layers of stylish protection. This new revision of Elan Form incorporates Griffin’s EasyDock design, allowing users to conveniently dock their iPhone without completely removing the case. Elan Form with EasyDock is available in pink or black.
Elan Clip for iPhone 3G
Elan Clip is an elegant, genuine leather outer case wrapped around an unbelievably durable polycarbonate shell. It features a belt clip that rotates 180 degrees so you can check your iPhone 3G without taking it off your belt. The clip also locks into an extended position so you can use it as a stand while watching movies. It can be used two ways: carry your iPhone face-in for maximum privacy and protection, or face-out for maximum convenience and access. Elan Clip comes with a static peel screen protector and a premium microfiber cleaning cloth.

Quote from the review:
“The Skullcandy Pipe is a small speaker system that can charge your iPod and play your music at the same time.
Visually the Skullcandy Pipe is tiny and when I took it out of the box I wondered how something so small would produce good sound. As soon as I popped my iPhone into the Pipe those skepticisms went away. The sound that comes from the tiny speakers and small dimensions is very impressive.”
