Review Snipit:
“What goes hand in hand with a digital camera? Well how about a digital picture frame? Kodak is offering several digital picture frames now to compliment their line of cameras, and they’ve sent me over one of their newest offerings for review. It’s their top of the line digital picture frame, the EASYSHARE W1020 Wireless Digital Frame with Home Decor Kit. As the name suggests it’s a wireless frame, which means you can connect it to your network or even the internet to get and transfer pictures to and from place to place. The Easyshare W1020 also features a large ten inch screen and a touch sensitive border for easy navigation, along with several other great features. ”

NEW CONTENT (Storage) – Lite-On eSAU108 External Slim DVD Writer
QUOTE: “I have to admit that when I received the eSAU108 External DVD Drive from Lite-On, I wondered, “do people still have a use for these?” – Most laptops these days carry with them a ROM drive and as for using one with a standard PC, it just seems silly.
If there wasn’t a market for the device, though, we would like to think Lite-On wouldn’t have created one. But since they have, I’m sure that they first did their research and discovered that there are people out there who want one. So today we’re going to take the time to have a look at an external DVD Drive from Lite-On with the model number eSAU108.”

Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W Power Supply Review @ High Tech Reviews
Quote – When I hear the name Thermaltake I always think of
reliability, whether it be one of their well put together cases,
high-performance heat sinks, or their power pumping power supplies
like the one we are reviewing today. This particular power supply
happens to be the Thermaltake Toughpower Cable Management 1000 watt
power supply. This is the baby-brother to the Thermaltake Toughpower
1200 watt power supply which has done very well in the high
performance computer circles due to it’s stable rails and quiet
operating habits.

TITLE: Best CPU Cooler Performance LGA1366 – Q1 2009 @ Benchmark Reviews
DESCRIPTION: Throughout all of 2008, I made it my mission to test every high-performance CPU cooler that Benchmark Reviews received. The Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors did their part to separate the cream of the crop from our large collection of LGA775 coolers. In our previous Best CPU Cooler Performance article, Benchmark Reviews retired the LGA775 platform from its testing duties and made room for the up-and-coming LGA1366 socket. It didn’t take long to collect several CPU coolers designed for the Intel Core i7 CPU & X58 platform. This Best CPU Cooler Performance LGA1366 – Q1 2009 article focuses on a ! wide selection of performance-cooling products for overclockers. It’s a mistake to think that any LGA775 cooler can do just as well with the new LGA1366/Core i7 platform; primarily because the size and location of processor cores has changed.

In this game not only do you control your own destiny, but you are responsible for your men as well. Every action has a consequence and the games does an excellent job of letting you know that you’re in control. Who do you sacrifice? When do you sacrifice them? Do you have to sacrifice at all? I found myself playing the same mission several times in order to see if I can keep everyone alive. The movie files, the sound and the game itself made me feel like I actually know my fellow brothers in arms and I found myself getting emotional if one of them bit a bullet. Now that’s more then I can say about a lot of other games. And with three levels of difficulty and even multiplayer modes, this game should have something for everyone (assuming that they enjoy very hard and realistic WWII games). As for our heroes, for all the people who bleed and died for us, please rest in peace; you are respected and will never be forgotten. Our debt to you can never be fully repaid.

InsideHW.com has reviewed MSI EX620 notebook. Here is a quote from this review:
“When we characterize design of an notebook, in most cases we describe it or as neutral business or as visually very attractive. MSI EX620 is somewhere in between: very nice notebook without tacky and too showy details but still unusual and pleasing. Ocean Wave design is much noticeable on this than on some earlier models and now same wavy texture is noticeable on palm rest area. Interesting detail is transition of Ocean Wave texture to black, on sides of notebook. This is just a detail but it really looks nice. Thanks to mentioned texture and bright gray colored palm rest area, fingerprints are not that noticeable compared to notebooks that also have piano finish on palm rest area…â€

“Style-minded people who place a premium on precision craftsmanship and design will want to set the Adamo in their sights. While the machine is certainly an upper-end product, Dell has always done exceptionally well in the realm of mass production, so there is a reasonable chance that the Adamo could end up being more affordable than the competition by the end of the year. We hope so, as there’s a lot of demand for a light ultrathin laptop that can pack more power than the current netbooks. But there might be a bigger issue. Dell has gotten pretty good at design over the years and Adamo proves it – Dell can actually be stylish! The problem is that you need a customer base that covets that approach and we’re not sure Dell has it. Apple’s strength is that it has a few million customers that will buy anything it puts out because it’s either a fashion statement or the brand says something about them. The turn Dell is trying to make is a tough one right now. Adamo is interesting, but probably too fashionable for the price. If cost isn’t an issue, this is the slickest Windows-based laptop around.â€

TITLE: Tritton AXPro 5.1 Headset @ LanOC Reviews
DESCRIPTION: Some time ago we reviewed Tritton’s quality headset, the AX51 5.1 Headset. At that point I was thoroughly impressed with the set, so much so in fact, I took them to our last local party LanOC V.3.  I decided that even with the power brick as an anchor, the superior quality warranted the hassle. It seems that Tritton was dissatisfied with their previous attempt at chaining me to my desk with just one adapter because they just released a new top of the line model: the Tritton AXPro. As you may have guessed, this device’s number of earthly tethers are greater than the last, possessing a staggering two power adapters for one single headset. Tritton sent us one of these beastly headsets to see if they live up to their status as well as their power consumption. This means that, once again, as we review this headset, I can no longer move from my workstation. My name is Thomas Gilligan, and if you are reading this, I am being held against my will by the Tritton AXPro.

The first embarrassment for this game is the fact that it is a space flight game and it does not support joystick controls despite the fact that Paradox Interactive claims that it does. Since you’re forced to play with mouse and keyboard half of the fun of the game is already diminished and for people who are not the best pilots using a mouse this game is a total nightmare. I even find it particularly sad that the only screenshots on the game box are from the first two missions. Could the programmers themselves not get past the second mission? I sure as hell could not. While there might be some people who will do well in this game, that number will be extremely limited. At least the game is only twenty bucks so if you want to take a gamble and you end up hating the game just as I do, at least you haven’t wasted forty or fifty bucks. I just can’t believe that something with this much potential was put together so badly. This is a perfect example of a gaming company trying to make a buck at the expense of the gamers. Shame on you Paradox; shame on you.

Before we get stuck into all that, though, we first need to see what ASUS has done to the package and bundle and see if it can stand out from the pack that way. Lian-Li does great aluminum cases for every consumer. Their PC-8B case is available online for a price of $139.99 at this moment. While some people might fault a case for trying to go above and beyond the call of duty I am not one of them. For a Mid-Tower case to have anti-vibration measures like a anti-vibration HDD cage and jointed front panel, this makes the PC-8B a great choice for those not wanting to spend the money or space for a Full Tower case. The PC-8B is lightweight, and does the job. The air flow inside the case is sufficient with one 120mm intake and one 120mm exhaust fan. There are no holes for water-cooling but that is not the purpose of this case.

Title: In Win NA 3.5″ External HDD Enclosure Review @ Virtual-Hideout
Review link: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/InWin_NA/index.shtml
Quote: “When I first saw the In Win NA at CES, my first impression was somewhere between intrigue and confusion. At a distance, you couldn’t tell what it was exactly. But, it had to be something tech related being that it was CES. Sitting there on the table was what appeared to be a white porcelain storage container of sorts. It was the small white button and wire cut outs that suggested it was more than just any container, but a hard drive enclosure. At first glance, even my wife wondered what motivation was behind such a concept. And, she wondered what makes it so different from the countless other enclosures that have been on the test bench. Once it was assembled and set in the perfect spot on the desk, it suddenly revealed its value and purpose. “

“When you combine the multiplayer experience with some of the online features and downloadable content support, PopCap provides an all-new way to play Peggle competitively with room for expansion and future growth. Peggle has been optimised for the XBLA platform, works flawlessly with the Xbox 360 controllers, and looks dazzling in 720p high definition. We also love the way each level is cleared in a flurry of rainbows and fireworks, while Beethoven’s Ode to Joy soars from your TV. A neat touch for colour blind gamers is an option which adds a triangle to the green pegs and a plus to the purple pegs to make them easier to distinguish. Nice one PopCap! “Creative’s GigaWorks T40 Series II are excellent value and sound really impressive. However, serious music listeners or those creating their own music should spend more (about three times in fact) and get a pair of mini-monitors that will offer better clarity, neutrality, and overall balance. The GigaWorks T40 Series IIs also struggle with composure at high volume levels, but you can’t complain too much considering the price. Hardly hi-fi or luxurious, the speakers are nonetheless compact, well built, and they sound great for general computer usage and when hooked up to an MP3 player.â€

“Watchmen: The End Is Nigh is a gut-punching but derivative combat game. It’s not the most imaginative in terms of gameplay, and you may tire quickly of button bashing against 20 or so enemies on screen at once. But it sports excellent graphics (lighting in particular is awesome), animations and cut scenes inspired by the film. It also has rock solid audio, thanks to impressive voice acting from the film’s cast and upbeat background music. Thanks to numerous combos, finishing moves and no shortage of thugs, you’ll certainly get your combat fix. However, the downloadable-only game is expensive at 1600 points (around £12) considering it’ll only take you around 3 hours to finish and there is no online co-op mode for longevity. As a consolation you can play locally alongside a friend, and there are Achievements and Trophies to unlock. More levels and characters (no Silk Spectre II) would have made this a better value game. As it stands, Watchmen: The End Is Nigh manages to capture the essence of the renowned comic sweetly, but the experience is just too short lived.â€
