Title: Hornettek Travel Plus 2.5″ SATA to USB External Enclosure @ DragonSteelMods

Review Link: http://www.dragonsteelmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12040&Itemid=1

Review Snipit:
“Have a spare 2.5” hard drive floating around? I’ve got a few of them and I’ve found they make nice, large capacity portable storage devices, but you’ll need some sort of enclosure to make it usable really for portable storage. There are many on the market, I’ve reviewed several of them, but the one I’ve got today is one that I find I like quite a bit, it’s from a new company called Hornettek, and it’s called the Travel Plus. The Travel Plus is a nicely made enclosure, mostly metal to protect and keep your hard drive cool, but what I like most is the built in USB cable so I no longer have to carry a USB cable around with me to use with the drive.  ”

Title: rebit Backup Software @ TestFreaks

Review Link: http://www.testfreaks.com/blog/review/rebit-backup-software/

Review Snipit:
“Today I’ve got a little piece of software for review that could pretty much save your life, or at least save you a ton of hassles with your PC, it’s called rebit, and it’s a backup software that runs automatically and in the background all of the time backing up your system. So it’s backup software, but it’s more than that, it’s also for complete system restore if your hard drive truly dies. One thing nice about rebit is that after you install it you never have to bother with it, it works automatically, behind the scenes backing up your system, the only thing you have to do is make sure the external hard drive is plugged in really. ”

Title: Cooler Master Sileo 500 Silent Mid-Tower Chassis Review at
Overclockers Online
Link: http://www.overclockersonline.net/?page=articles&num=2661
Quote: In working with the Cooler Master Sileo 500, I was utterly blown away
by how well the sound dampening material works. Being the defining feature
of this case, I can attest to the fact that the sound dampening material
really sets this case apart from other cases I have worked with.  In terms
of other features, the Sileo 500 is your typical mid-tower case. With a
minimalistic design, its elegance will appeal to everyone. The tool-less
drive bays, simple hard drive mounts and tool-less expansion slots are great
and make installation very quick and easy.

NEW CONTENT (Networking) – TP-Link TL-WR941ND Wireless N Router

QUOTE: “The trend to remove the wires from the home and small office environment is in full swing. We are seeing more and more products shipping with fast wireless. But you need a good router to handle this traffic and to protect those data streams flying through the air. The TP-Link TL-WR941ND Wireless N Router might be an answer to your needs.

You can currently purchase the TL-WR941ND from Newegg at 49.99 U.S. Dollars; a respectable price point for a Wireless N router. Of course, you should never judge a book by its cover or components by their box. Checking out the specs on Newegg, you can see that the TP-Link TL-WR91ND does cover the right bases on paper and looks to be a great buy for the price.”

Baja: Edge of Control – 360 Review

Date: 03-27-2009 By Vlad Mihaiescu

There are good racing games and there are bad racing games; there are great racing games and there are terrible racing games. Baja – Edge of Control is probably falls in the beyond terrible range. And it is not that the game has terrible sound or graphics because that’s not the case. It is not because it lacks content because this game is full of it. It is because the gameplay and the controls are so terrible that this game is for the most part unplayable. If you actually can claim that this is a good racing game then you must truly be a very gifted racer or just a great liar.

Coolit Domino Advanced Liquid Cooling System Review motherboards.org

Author: Ben Sun Date: 03-27-2009

The CoolIT Domino ALC CPU cooler is an excellent self-contained liquid cooling system for the CPUs. While a temperature of 58C is not the lowest temperature I’ve observed, it was also taken on a system running one of the hotter CPUs on the market, the QX9770. The other thing is the system was 100% stable at a clock speed of 4.4GHz while the Domino was installed. The unit runs for a very reasonable price of $79 which is virtually unheard of for a liquid cooled CPU cooler. Installation and setup couldn’t be easier. I have to say that the Domino ALC cooler does the job that CoolIT designed it for very well, and is well worth the purchase as it comes with everything needed for the latest CPU interfaces including the LGA-1366.

NEW CONTENT (Motherboards) – Sapphire PURE CrossFireX 790GX Motherboard

QUOTE: “AMD has been on the back-end with its current architecture processors since Intel brought us Core 2. For over four years now AMD has had to play catch up and it seems that every good thing has to come to an end. But while AMD has lost the performance crown to Intel, the Phenom II based processors are extremely cost effective, as are their supporting boards.

On the chopping block we have the new PURE CrossFireX 790GX based board using AMD’s newest chipset designed for AM2+ and AM3 processors, this being the 790GX. How well will this board compare to our already tested MSI Dragon reference board? – Let’s find out.”

MLB 09 The Show – PSP Review

Date: 03-26-2009 By Vlad Mihaiescu

There are some new features and a few changes to the 09 version, but at the same time I don’t think that the game is sooooo different from the 08 version that upgrading is a necessity. One final thing that I want to emphasize on is the fact that MLB 09 The Show, just like its predecessor, has very long loading times. Waiting a minute to load may not be so bad if you’re playing a full game, but if you’re in career mode and the coach allocates you just a few pitches or bat swings, waiting a minute for the game to load so you can play 2 to 3 minutes of baseball may not be worth it.

NVIDIA Quadro CX Review motherboards.org

Author: Ben Sun Date: 03-26-2009

Workstation video cards are a totally different market from the consumer gaming cards. What is unacceptable in price to the average consumer is considered a bargain for workstation video cards. Quadro cards are the number one workstation graphics card on the market today, according to Jon Peddie Research. If you want a workstation class video card and use Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 4 or programs like it, the Quadro CX is the card for you. Note that you can use GPUs like the FireGL series or ATI’s Radeon series, or GeForce cards on NVIDIA’s side to accelerate features in Photoshop CS4, but they are going to perform slower in encoding videos due to the lack of the RapiHD encoder.

We have just posted up a review high-end EVGA X58 3x SLI motherboard for your favorite Core i7 CPU.  This board brings a lot to the table including 9x SATA, 10x USB, 2x GB Ethernet and more.  If you’ve got a fat wad of cash to spend and want a motherboard that can do almost everything, this is the one.  Catch all the details in our full review.

Title: EVGA X58 3X SLI Motherboard
URL: http://www.bcchardware.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6923&Itemid=40

Quote:
In the end, the layout is nicely done, but if you do install three large graphics cards for either SLI or Crossfire, you’re going to use up all of the other PCI and PCIe slots.  Normally this isn’t that big of a deal, but the audio quality on this board isn’t really all that impressive, and it’s a shame that you can’t plug in a PCIe Audigy X-Fi once you’ve got your graphics cards installed.

“The age of netbooks has started with models that had 7 inch displays. Very soon all of us noticed that this is not enough, so models with 8, 9 and 10 inch displays became netbook mainstream models. Acer postponed presentation of its 10 inch model for a long time but it seems that they have made a right decision because this will be, probably, the year of transition to 10 inch models. As a reminder, we will tell you that ASUS has announced discontinuance of its 8 and 9 inch display Eee PC models. Finally, in our test lab has appeared Acer Aspire One D150: new Acer’s trump card in the netbook deck…”
