TITLE: 3D Vision for GeForce Benchmark Performance Impact @ Benchmark Reviews
DESCRIPTION: At the time that I received the 3D Vision for GeForce kit from NVIDIA, Benchmark Reviews was packing up for the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. While I would personally consider the 3D Vision kit to be an experience enhancing product, and not a competitive tool, there have been a few questions in regard to the overall impact on frame-rate performance. So with CES behind us now, I have returned to deliver some benchmarks showing what kind of performance you can expect from the 3D Vision for GeForce gaming kit.

“These days, almost everyone is aware of the need to back up their computers, but not everyone actually does it. True Image Home 2009 makes backing up a computer system pretty much as easy and straightforward as possible. Even experienced users will love the way the software automatically makes sure you are never left unprotected from the inevitable hardware or software failure that can destroy a lifetime of digital files, photos, videos and documents. This latest version isn’t a great improvement on last year’s already excellent version, but the incremental changes make an already strong product even better. True Image Home 2009 is all the home user and non-networked small business user needs to make secure, regular and hassle-free backups of Windows-based computers.â€

iXBT Labs Review: Intel Core i7 920 Processor
Excerpt:
“Core i7 is apparently a good product. We insist that its main goal is not to improve performance. It wouldn’t be a failure even if it was less efficient than Core 2. Anyway, it’s 7% more efficient. What else there is to wish?”

At the Consumer Electronics Show this past week, NVIDIA was demonstrating a new reference platform for an ultra small form-factor multimedia PC and we should underscore the word “ultra”. To say this new product concept is tiny would be an understatement. Consider if you will, an entire PC, capable of decoding and playing full 1080p HD video content, in a box that fits in the palm of your hand with a 3″ x 4″ motherboard.
We met with Drew Henry, NVIDIA’s General Manager of MCP products, at CES and he gave us a tour of Ion, as well as a demonstration of its capabilities. We’ve got NVIDIA’s Ion in today’s HotHardware Video Spotlight, so we’ll let Drew do the talkin’.

“From the makers of the amazing Battlefield franchise comes a first-person action adventure unlike any other. Available for next-generation consoles and the PC (that’s what we like to see – Ed!), Mirror’s Edge definitely takes risks. Moving the first-person game in a totally new direction, DICE, an Electronic Arts studio, has done something radical with the traditional established mechanics of first-person movement. What’s makes Mirror’s Edge special is that it changes the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. In Mirror’s Edge you can move like a real person (albeit a very flexible one!), with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game. Mirror’s Edge is also special because it introduces a strong iconic videogame heroine called Faith who, predictably, is very hot.â€

Title: Cables Unlimited Wireless USB Kit with Transmitter and Receiver with Base @ TestFreaks.com
Review Snipit:
“Cables Unlimited sent me over their Wireless USB Kit with Transmitter and Receiver with Base out for review a bit ago, and it allows us to make our USB ports cable free. The kit includes two USB thumbdrive like devices, power adapter and a base for the receiver. The base acts like an adapter, the actual receiver has a male USB connection on it, the base has two female connections, one inside and one outside to plug in your peripheral that you want to make wireless, the power adapter is used to provide power to the external wireless USB adapter. ”
