Krusell - TOP-10 selling phones in November 2008

December 3rd, 2008 by Kristofer

1. (-) Samsung SGH-i900/i910 Omnia

2. (7) Nokia 6300

3. (2) Sony Ericsson C702

4. (1) Apple iPhone 3G

5. (3) Nokia 3109

6. (-) Nokia N96

7. (-) Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia

8. (8) Nokia E71

9. (6) Nokia E51

10. (4) HTC Diamond

() = Last month’s position.

Like a rocket, Samsungs new smartphone Omnia hit Krusell’s Top 10 list for November!

-I believe that this is Samsung’s first No 1 position since we begin to publish the Krusell Top List, says Ulf Sandberg MD at Krusell. Nokia still has a very strong position; an “old” device such as 6300 is holding the second place, which is pretty surprising. For next month I foresee that Omnia will be challenged by LG’s new smartphone Renoir, which is predicted to be a volume seller in the high-end segment.

The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, releases its “Top 10″-list for November 2008. The list is based on number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases ordered from Krusell during November 2008. Krusell’s list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones in six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.

Facts:

Krusell International AB with 130 million SEK in turnover and 330 employees is a Swedish company exporting high-end cases around the world. After more than 15 years in the cell phone industry, Krusell is established as one of the leading brands in its niche. Besides cases for mobile and smart phones, Krusell also produces cases for PDAs, digital cameras, MP3-players and portable gaming. Most Krusell cases sold are equipped with their patented carrying solution, Multidapt. The headquarters of Krusell are located in Mölndal, Sweden.

You know you\’re in for a treat right from the moment that you press the power button the ASUS Lamborghini VX3 and hear the sound of a Lamborghini engine purring.

Despite the capabilities to satisfy even the most hardcore gamer, the G71 is just as adept at running resource intensive Windows Vista applications, such as image and video-editing programs. If you’re looking for a truly dedicated gaming experience within a highly portable package, this badboy is just the ticket. In fact, we’d go so far as to say it’s one of the best overall gaming laptops on the planet - especially considering ASUS’ aggressive pricing. Alienware still has the upper hand in terms of raw power and customisation (the G71 can’t be customised with CrossFire graphics cards or solid state drives for instance), but as an overall package the G71 it is hard to beat. It even runs so cool and quietly that you’ll hardly notice it’s even on! Our only disappointment is lack of support for nVidia’s flagship GeForce 9800M GTX graphics chipset.”

InsideHW.com has posted article about XFX GTX260 Black Edition (GX-260N-ADB9) graphics card. You can read a clip from review:

“As announced, nVIDIA presented new GTX260 with larger amount of Stream Processors. This is consequence of the facts that regular GTX260 didn’t have expected performances levels and price was too high compared to similar products on the market. Simply put GTX260 was very fast but since Radeon HD 4870 had better performance/price ratio nVIDIA had to do something and as result we have GTX260+. Difference between GTX260 and GTX260+ is in 24 Stream Processors so GTX260 has 192 SP and GTX260+ has 216 SP. This time we got GTX260+ graphics card signed by XFX that belong to their Black Edition series…”

NEW CONTENT (Storage) - Patriot Xporter Magnum 64GB Pen Drive – When Size Matters

QUOTE: “It was not that long ago that we all got excited about 2GB and 4GB pen drives, but as flash memory continued to develop and become cheaper, we continually saw improvements in the amount of storage space we see in portable devices.

Only a short while ago the usual suspects started releasing 32GB pen drives, but that portable storage milestone was short-lived – and has since been smashed. Patriot Memory continues to push the boundaries by releasing one of the first high-performance 64GB pen drives to the market, just in time to be a stocking filler or ideal geeky gift for Christmas this year.”

supplies available, Topower has managed to reach an equilibrium.

The PC gaming industry has seen many graphics chips come and go. Companies like 3dfx, S3, Trident, Intel, nVidia, ATI and others have tapped into the gaming industry and have produced 3d accellerators for the PC, and most of them have gone. There are only two major players in the PC graphics industry: nVidia and ATI.

These two graphics juggernauts unveil new products every year, which effectively doubles the effective processing power over the previous generation. This ruthless competition is both good and bad news for consumers: Good in that faster technology becomes cheaper, and we have many options. Bad in that the expensive video card you just purchased will remain bleeding edge for only a few months.

The latest battle comes just in time for the 2008 holiday season. ATI’s 4800 series goes up against nVidia’s GTX line of cards. Sapphire is one of the more well-known manufacturers of ATI-based video cards, and they have a secret weapon in the world of single-GPU video cards. Their 4870 Toxic video card not only comes pre-overclocked, but is stacked with 512MB of the fastest GDDR5 memory, which is certainly enough for today’s gamer.

Sennheiser HD 595 Headphones @ TheTechLounge
Quote:
“I’ve been covering in-ear monitors lately, but it’s time to change pace for a set of full-fledged, open, over-the-ear cans. This time around I’ll be jamming with Sennheiser’s HD 595, which sits in the middle of their audiophile headphone line. Ah, the classic scene of powering on your Hi-Fi system in the living room, dimming the lights, tossing on a pair of huge headphones, and settling into your favorite easy chair with a glass of Glenlivet 25, neat. My modern equivalent involves my iMac, a desk chair, and a Lone Star tall boy. Not quite as classy, but the phones I’m sporting spruce the picture up a bit.”

Quote: These days everyone wants a quiet computer, it doesnt matter if its a stationary, laptop or HTPC they are all supposed to perform at all times with the smallest amount cooling possible.

That equation does not really go together that well, todays computer parts put out a amazing amount of heat so there will be noise until we figure out another way to keep the parts cool.

Fuze Review

I remember holding the AT&T Tilt in my hand for the first time and thinking what an excellent device. I finally felt that we could officially call a phone a true “Converged Device”. One year later, the AT&T Tilt Replacement came knocking at the door. This device would have some significant design changes, a little more horsepower under the hood, and a fresh new VGA screen. AT&T would call this new device, The Fuze. Based on the HTC Touch Pro, or Raphael, The Fuze had big shoes to fill with the AT&T Tilt. How would this new device that is called the Fuze measure up to the Tilt? All that and more as we fully review the new AT&T Fuze (P4600), so read on and we’ll begin!
