Enablemart Hardware and Software

October 18th, 2008 by Kristofer

enable So I was browsing around the other day, as I do all the time, looking for new and exciting products out there and I came across a site called Enablemart. The name seems a bit odd, but the point of the site is to provide technology for assisted living, the elderly, students and really anyone who might need their products.

They’ve got devices and products from over 200 manufactures, and it seems they sell their products all of the world as well. So they’ve got a great assortment of products to choose from. You might be wondering why I’m posting about it, but it’s got quite a bit of things I’ve never seen before, and I’ve seen a lot of stuff in my time reviewing products.

The keyboards they’ve got are very interesting, focusing on ergonomics and usability, I’ve seen my share of specialized keyboards but some of these are wild looking.

Besides technology products they’ve also got software and really any other kinds of products to make life easier for those that need the help.

The site focuses on assistive technology for people with disabilities but it’s much more than that as I mentioned, they’ve got all kinds of cool products that I’ve not seen before, I spent about 30 minutes just checking it all out and of course bookmarked to go back and explore more later when I get the time.

So even if you don’t have special needs stop by and check out all the cool stuff!

Title:Mitsubishi LaserVue 65″ HDTV - We Meet Again @ TheTechLounge

Quote:
“Kurtis and I got another chance to check out Mitsubishi’s LaserVue DLP set in the early morning hours this Tuesday, and this time we were armed with some juicy, hand-picked HD goodness.  Last time around, we only got to see content provided by Mitsubishi that was playing from a hard drive player hooked up to each set over HDMI.  There were some great clips in this material, but we felt that we would be doing the Internets a terrible injustice to base our opinions solely on clips straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth. If you missed our coverage of the LaserVue launch event from a couple weeks ago, that’s where we got down with the specs and features of the new Mitsubishi set.  This trip was all about picture quality.”

Title: Noctua U12P CPU Cooler Review @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: The Noctua NH-U12P is the latest of a whole series of coolers from Noctua. This latest version with so-called greater “main board compatibility” aims to be as successful as it predecessors especially with its acclaimed quiet cooling performance. However, has this heatsink and fan combination really surpassed expectations enough to warrant claims as being on a whole new level as its manufacturers would have us believe?

With a bit of that “Friday on our minds” attitude adjustment going on in the lab, we decided to RAID a pair of Intel’s new X25-M series SSDs up to see what they could do.  Blinding speed in RAID 0 mode?  Yes, you could say that…

Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition DVD & Blu-Ray Review @ Ascully.com

Quote

“If you haven’t seen Sleeping Beauty in ages, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.  The story is classic, and it really is a great cartoon.  If you have kids, they will love it, and so will you as an adult.  I went in not really remembering the movie, and fearing that it would be very female oriented, but it really is not the case.  It has both a great female lead and a great male lead in the prince.  My son was just as drawn in by the fight with the evil witch as a dragon as he was by the beautiful songs sung by Princess Aurora…..”
