NVIDIA planned to take over a number of major venues in downtown San Jose, including the convention center and a number of adjacent hotels, and invite experts and celebrities from the high-performance computing, gaming, video, movies, and graphics fields, to participate. An ambitious plan to say the least.

Tonight we have our first glimpse of NVIDIA’s NVISION -

Topower PowerBird 900W Power Supply at Overclockers Onlin

August 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: Topower PowerBird 900W Power Supply at Overclockers Online
Link: http://www.overclockersonline.net/?page=articles&num=1951
Quote: For Topower’s first showing here at Overclockers Online, they have
done a great job. The PowerBird series combines the best of performance,
features, and of course, affordability. For the $200 dollar range, Topower
has its audience sorted out. While the PowerBird isn’t a value oriented
power supply, for the price, it’s a solid contender in the high end power
supply market.

Western Digital VelociRaptor 10,000RPM Hard Disk in RAID 0

August 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

NEW CONTENT (Storage) - Western Digital VelociRaptor 10,000RPM Hard Disk in RAID 0

QUOTE: “When Western Digital launched their first 10,000 RPM consumer desktop drive, enthusiasts quickly took note. Now in its fourth generation, the Western Digital Raptor Series is still unchallenged and dominates the enthusiast and performance user markets.

10,000 and even 15,000 RPM hard drives started long before the Raptor Series but have been exclusively built for workstation and server environments utilizing SCSI and its successor, SAS connectivity. SATA and later SATA II bridged the gap between consumer ATA and SCSI standards and arguably the biggest performance gains came from Native Command Queuing, but the Raptor Series did not utilize this technology, not until now.”

Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse Review

August 26th, 2008 by Kristofer

I4U NEWS published a review of Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse.

Quote from the review:
“Today we are looking at the Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Mouse. This mouse has some features you don’t commonly see outside of gaming mice.

The MX 1100 is the first non-gaming mouse I have seen with a switch for adjusting sensitivity. The adjustment is towards the front of the mouse, right next to the left main mouse button. The scroll wheel can be pressed for middle mouse button click. This was something several previous Logitech mice using the free-wheel scroll wheel lacked.”
