The launch of the 3G Iphone from Apple on July 11th had great impact on the sales in July as well as in June, says Ulf Sandberg Managing Director at Krusell. Main focus for this month should probably be put on the two newcomers from Sony Ericsson, that are expected to climb a step or two in next month’s list.
The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, has released their “Top 10″-list for July 2008. The list is based upon the number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases that have been ordered from Krusell during July 2008. Krusell’s list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.
Facts:
Krusell International AB with 130 million SEK in turnover and 330 employees is a Swedish company exporting high-end cases around the world. After more than 15 years in the cell phone industry, Krusell is established as one of the leading brands in its niche. Besides cases for mobile and smart phones, Krusell also produces cases for PDAs, digital cameras, MP3-players and portable gaming. Most Krusell cases sold are equipped with their patented carrying solution, Multidapt. The headquarters of Krusell are located in Mölndal, Sweden.

TITLE: Gigabyte GA-EP45T-EXTREME P45 Motherboard @ Benchmark Reviews
DESCRIPTION: There are two kinds of computer enthusiasts in this world: those with a personal connection to the system motherboard, and those who simply refer to the part as a computer mainboard. For overclockers, the relationship with a well-designed motherboard can mean love or hate, and no two parts are alike. The motherboard is, after all, the foundation of every computer, and the importance is central to stable system operation. No matter if you are a low-demand office worker who plugs away on letters or spreadsheets every day or if you are a high-performance hardware enthusiast who demands extreme frame rates from your video games, one component alone will determine your ability: the motherboard. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the Gigabyte GA-EP45T-EXTREME P45 Ultra-Durable 2 DES motherboard against our harsh overclocking demands.

Sarah is typical of most young women today, balancing her marketing career, running a household, and enjoying her 10-month old son, Grayson. There just doesnt seem to be enough time to complete daily chores, let alone additional projects. However, after Jack, her husband, accidentally erased the memory card with the familys photos of their recent trip to visit Sarahs parents in Florida, she decided to take on the task of organizing and protecting the familys memories. It wasnt as though we had lost our entire collection, but those photos were irreplaceable, Sarah said. Luckily, we were able to find a software program that recovered most of the pictures from the card. Otherwise, Jack may still be sleeping on the couch.

Physics: as geeks, we just have to love the subject. We loved learning about geniuses like Isaac Newton and concepts like gravity, acceleration and inertia. Also, typical of geeks, we love gaming. So, combining physics acceleration and gaming just sounds like a really cool idea. For the past several years, we’ve been learning more and more about physics in gaming in the form of PhysX, a technology created by a company called Ageia. The original approach to PhysX by Ageia was a dedicated PhysX card that sported a PPU (physics processing unit). Ageia partnered with companies like BFG and ASUS to bring the PhysX cards to market. We actually reviewed the BFG version here in the HotHardware labs over two years ago. The entire real-time, in-game physics landscape has changed quite a bit since that time, however. With NVIDIA’s relatively recent acquisition of Ageia, we all knew it was only a matter of time before we’d see some kind of announcement or launch detailing what NVIDIA’s plans were with the PhysX technology…

TechwareLabs has published a review on the 7 Days with the HP 2133 Ultra Portable Netbook. Here’s a clip from the review:
Quote: Ultra Portable laptops have reached new levels of usability and even shrunk in size recently. What Asus started with its introduction of the EeePC other manufacturers have continued and introduced their versions of the now popular “Netbooks”. We take a look at one of the nicest designs on the market right now with HP’s 2133. This all aluminum masterpiece would fit right in on the show room floor and gives its owner just the right asthetics and feel. But we test out the engine under the hood in addition to the fit and finish of the 2133. Find out what our inspection showed.

NEW CONTENT (Trade Shows) - QuakeCon 2008 - A Quad Damage of Babes
QUOTE: “At QuakeCon I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of female gamers in attendance. Not only has gaming crossed the lines of language and social class, but it is now smashing through the gender barrier.
Don’t come to QuakeCon and expect to get your ‘game’ on unless you are a top seeded pro player or can handle more vodka than these professional party girls. Still, they can show you a good time and still kick your ass at gaming.”

Title: In Win Power Man Commander 1200w Power Supply
Link:
http://www.hi-techreviews.com/reviews/current-reviews/in-win-power-man-commander-1200-w-psu.html
Quote: After you have reviewed enough power supplies you can begin to
tell how well it will perform longer before you ever hook it up to a
system. For example if the unit is to light it is a sure bet that
quality components were not used or small heatsinks we used instead
of large one. Yes there are exceptions so power supply makers don’t
email me and complain. When we first laid our hands on In Wins new
1200 watt power supply we knew that it had alot going it. Come check
our review and see what we are talking about.
