Title: Nexus LXM-8200 CPU Cooler @ Tech-Reviews.co.uk

Briefing: CPU Coolers nowadays are becoming more and more silent. However, what normally comes with silence is a drop in performance. This has made enthusiasts try to find their own, personal, perfect balance- either for silence or performance. At Tech-Reviews today, we have a Nexus LXM-8200 for review, a cooler boasting noise levels of 17dBA. Is it the perfect balance?

We all like to take our music with us be it cds, ipods or mp3 players we’ve got our tunes on the go with us to partially keep us entertained and to partially block out the world around us. I’ve got an AT&T Tilt cellphone, or otherwise known as the HTC TyTn II, and it has replaced my mp3 player as my portable music device of choice. I have my phone with me always, so why should I have to carry another device to listen to my music when my phone does an excellent job of it for me? One small problem with that is when I’m in the car I’m still stuck with cds or even the radio, with the radio it’s always channel flipping because of people talking or commercials, and with cds it’s advancing to different tracks because not  all of the music on a cd is good. I’ve got an FM Transmitter for my mp3 player that partially solves this problem, but again I have to carry another device with me, but not anymore…

Today on the review block I’ve got the Dopod / HTC FM Transmitter with handsfree functions from our friends over at USBFever and it not only enables me to play my mp3s that are stored on my phone through my car stereo, but it features a built in microphone that allows you to use it as a handsfree device…

Quote: “The Freezer Case Fan is aimed at cooling and does an excellent job. This is just more impressive when you consider the low noise levels and even the ability to ajust speeds based on temp with the integrated thermal sensor.”

Title: Aten CS1782 KVM DVI Switch @ Phoronix

Summary: “Aten, have you ever heard of them? If you haven’t, it’s not because they are a newcomer to the market place, as they actually have been around for nearly 30 years, but they focus all of their efforts on manufacturing KVM switch solutions. These KVM switches just aren’t limited to simple multi-port analog switching, but they have a variety of enterprise-grade switches, IP-based switching, embedded solutions, HDMI switches, and many other products. One of Aten’s newest products is the CS1782 DVI KVM Switch, which is designed for homes and small offices and has support for not only handling two systems with keyboard, mouse, and DVI monitor switching, but it goes beyond that to offer surround-sound audio and USB switching as well. In this review we are looking at the Aten CS1782 KVM DVI Switch.”

Enter the Corsair TX Series 750W Power Supply. Like that very forgettable guy from that very forgettable show said way to often: More Power! This baby offers all the power you could need and then some, with enough connectors, including four for video cards, to make you think this thing is the offspring of some unknown species of squid. But enough euphemisms, let’s get down to the nitty gritty…

The TX750 currently has the highest wattage for Corsair, and still carrying the guarantee of 50 C under the heaviest of loads. And the suspects behind this cat’s coolness? A 140-mm fan, high efficiency and active PFC. And this is part of the new series from Corsair garnishes the use of a single high current +12 V rail instead of several virtual rails with lower currents. Previous models used three rails with lower currents.
