NEW CONTENT (Casing & Cooling) - Thermaltake MaxOrb EX CPU Cooler
QUOTE: “Thermaltake is back with one of our favorite CPU cooling designs, the Orb. The latest offering is a revamp of the MaxOrb we tested back in December, but with a twist of copper added in for good measure. The original MaxOrb fared well in our performance tests and I found the mounting mechanism for Intel motherboards innovative.
Let’s dive in and take a look at the new Thermaltake MaxOrb EX; we’ll then test it the same way we did the MaxOrb and all of our other CPU coolers to see if Thermaltake were able to get even more performance out of the Orb design.”

Title: G.SKILL PC2-8500 4GB PI DDR2 Memory Kit Review @ Virtual-Hideout
Review link: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/GSkill_PC2-8500_4GB_PI_Series/index.shtml

Quote: “The G.Skill PC2-8500 4GB PI Memory is another strong performing dual channel memory kit. Stability is top notch and the kit is very reliable under pressure. At full load, the memory keeps its composure and pumps out the bandwidth. Thanks to the new spreaders, it was only slightly warm to the touch and looks pretty sweet. It’s also very nice to see that the heat spreaders haven’t added much extra weight to the modules.”

Yuin OK1 Earphones
Link:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Head-Direct/Yuin/OK1
Brief:
Yuin OK1 is the name of Yuin’s brand new top-of-line earphone. The OK1s are rather special since they can both function as a pair of regular earbuds or as in-ears. The design is also completely revamped. When driven by a proper amp the sound is lightyears ahead of any other earbud we have previously tested.

After 17 years away from the big screen, Indiana Jones has dusted off his trusty fedora and bullwhip in one of the most eagerly awaited returns to the screen in cinema history. Harrison Ford once again plays the rough and rugged archeologist who is as equally adept in the classroom as he is in the depths of an ancient trap laden chamber.
In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, audience are re-introduced to Jones, who is by now an older, and wiser man who spent the years of WWII as a special operative which earned him not only the rank of Colonel, but numerous medals and citations.

All ram is not created equal, and that means ALL ram, one set of the same exact ram may perform better than another set or overclock higher than another set, it’s hard to judge ram except with testing and examining the results to see where the strengths and weaknesses are of any given set of ram.
Up on the review block today is a slick looking set of ram from GSkill, with it’s red and silver heatspreaders it just screams fast sitting in the box, but is it?
The ram I have today can be found online very cheaply, for around $45 for 2gigs of it, that’s not a bad price really even if it doesn’t outperform the competition.

“Songbird is still in Beta, but in the few weeks we’ve been using it the software has been stable and crashed only a couple of times. It’s worth remembering that Songbird isn’t a Mozilla product - it’s based on the Mozilla platform, which is open source, but hasn’t been developed by the team behind Firefox or Thunderbird. There’s no video player, graphic equalisers or disc burning tools at the moment, but we still think you’ll really enjoy Songbird.”

NEW CONTENT (Storage) - Thermaltake BlacX SATA to USB HDD Dock
QUOTE: “Thermaltake has just come up with the ultimate enthusiast accessory; at least that is what went through my head when I first saw the press release of the new BlacX and BlacX SE. As I read the release my mind started to drift away, thinking about the two foot tall stack of SATA drives sitting in my closet and how useful it would be to just grab a drive and start transferring data to it within seconds.
Forget about the need to take off the side panel, get on the floor, find a flash light and locate one of two hundred SATA cables that are in the room (that you can never find when you need one). Just grab a drive and plug it in. If this scenario sounds familiar, than you are definitely a PC enthusiast and will want to read on to have a look at the new Thermaltake BlacX.”

BurnOutPC.com has just posted their review on the Cyber Snipa Stinger Mouse.
Quote
“Cyber Snipa has made a very comfortable and great looking mouse with the Cyber Snipa Stinger. The mouse feels great in your hand and the rubber on both sides gives a lot more grip than a plastic surface. The buttons are placed in the right position, although I would have liked to see an addition of 2 more buttons on the right side. The different DPI settings along with the dpi button are an easy way to adjust the sensitivity, but I feel that most users only use one dpi setting, like I do. In the end, this is a mouse priced just right, it costs nearly 50 US Dollars and it’s well worth the money!”

The newly-appointed head of the World Linux Bureau (abbreviated WCP) issued a recent statement that has the potential to affect every living soul on the planet. If their demands are not met, Linux will go on strike.
When asked from the press about their marketing plan, Steven replied “Apple has their stupid fruit logo, and Microsoft has their ’swooshy’ flag thing. We got a freakin’ penguin… how can you beat that? It’s like ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’: Penguin Wears Flag, Penguin Eats Fruit.”

CPU3D Review: 2PCOM PS964U CPU Cooler
2PCOM is a relatively new company formed by former employees of Coolermaster. The product lines they offer looks pretty impressive, and today we take a look at their new PS964U CPU cooler, which incorporates their HTC technology (Heat-pipe Touch Chip). This cooler also features an ultra silent 92×92x25mm PWM fan and 6mm x 4 heat pipes design.
“The performance of the 2PCOM PS964U CPU cooler is outstanding. It beat out the coolers it was compared to by a large margin.”

InsideHW.com has posted an article about notebook Acer Aspire 6920G.
You can read a clip from review:
…” Finally, we had tested Acer Aspire 6920G after Acer’s
announcement for new Aspire Gemstone notebooks in March this year. Black
cover in “piano” finish looks very elegant despite our first thought of
greasy fingerprints all over it. At some point, I even thought that I am too
subjective, so I asked my colleagues what they think and we finally agree
that fingertips are less noticeable than on other notebooks with similar
finishing process. In the middle of notebook cover is logo which lights up
when notebook is on.”…

We have taken a look at the tidy little Samsung SC-HMX20C Full-HD Camcorder in our latest review. This little unit uses flash storage and a 6.4MP CMOS sensor to capture video at 1080p and still pictures at 6.4MP. If you’re looking for a multi-function video/still camera to take on holidays and capture your memories, this one should do nicely and won’t break the bank. It retails for under $900. Catch our review for all the details.
Title: Samsung SC-HMX20C Full HD Camcorder - HD Video Recorder for Under $900

Quote:
The Samsung SC-HMX20C camcorder was a surprise in more ways than one. First of all, the camcorder is really quite small yet feels much more solid than I would have thought. Also it has decent still image camera functions and can double up as your favorite still and video camera to take on your next holiday. What makes this unit special is that it is one of the least expensive Full HD (1920×1080p) cameras around and manages to do a pretty good job in most situations.

OCIA.net has posted their review of the Thermaltake BlacX SE Hard Drive Dock. Below is a direct quote from the review:
“For testing, I used two programs, HD Tach and HD Tune, to test the write and read speeds of the drive in the dock. For reference purposes, the drive used was a 3.5” Maxtor 320GB, 7200 RPM SATA Drive. During testing, I was curious to see how having USB devices plugged into the hub would affect drive performance as they share the same USB bus to the computer.“

GlacialTech is known for their light and cool materials. Both the Igloo Silent and PWM are just that, with superior noise reduction. The Silent has a 3-pin connector and the PWM has a 4-pin, meaning that the PWM takes advantage of the newer CPU fan connectors on the latest motherboards, allowing the motherboard itself to control the speed of the fan. In short, when things get hot, the Igloo PWM gets going. When temperatures are back to normal, the motherboard sends a signal through the fourth wire that tells the fan to slow down. But fear not if you only have a 3-pin on your mobo, either one will still work on older and newer motherboards.
