CPU3D Review: Abit AX78 Motherboard (AMD 770)

Using AMD’s 770 chipset, Abit AX78 is aimed at the mainstream/budget market. It’s compatible with all AM2/AM2+ processors, and offers support for DDR2 ram and Hyper Transport 3.0 technology. We put it through the test and compare this chipset against its other sibblings … the AMD 790FX and the AMD 780G chipsets.

“After taking a quick look at the Abit AX78, I thought that it was a good all-rounder. For an AMD 770 based motherboard, it performs just below the AMD 790FX, and produced results as expected from a mainstream chipset.”
