EVGA e-GeForce 9800GTX 512MB Video Card Review

April 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

EVGA e-GeForce 9800GTX 512MB Video Card Review
Date: 04-01-2008 Written By Benjamin SunThe 9800GTX is a fast card. Of that there is no doubt. Compared to a 9600GT single card or a HD3870 single card the 9800GTX has performance that is near double those cards. The problem becomes when looking at the price of a 9800GTX, you can buy 2 9600GTs. 2 9600GTs from XFX in SLI outperform a single 9800GTX in every benchmark, making the choice quite clear in my mind. For now, a faster 8800GTX with 512MB just doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade for the high end enthusiast wanting the fastest performance bar none.

BIOS REVIEW: Epson Stylus DX7400

April 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

We’ve just posted our latest review and would love it if you linked it. TIA!

The DX7400 is Epson’s mid-range all-in-one. There are much better machines if money isn’t an issue, but if you’re value driven the dark grey-blue DX7400 is worth considering as it features Epson’s excellent DURABrite Ultra individual inks, memory card slots and PictBridge direct printing. Print quality isn’t too bad either and it’s a snap to use, though if you’re looking for a machine for your home office you will miss the lack of a built-in fax, optional ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), and even Ethernet.”

Homie Rollerz Reviewed (Nintendo DS) @ [OC]ModShop

April 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

Homie Rollerz is an interesting game. I think its the weird mix of Mario Kart + Chicano + Zombies + Gangstas.Another thing is that I cant tell if this game is making fun of itself or not with the exaggerated gangsta talk, stereotype perpetuating, and outrageous characters, it seems that Homie Rollerz may be trying too hard.

Honestly, I wouldnt recommend this game to kids. How this game got away with an E for Everyone rating is amazing. I wouldnt let my five or even ten year old play this game with all of the trash talking, innuendo, or adult themes. Dont get me wrong, Im not a prude. If youre the type of parent that lets their kids watch soap operas and MTV all day long, then youll be okay. Adults and teens might have a good laugh with this game, but I think the overall themes of the game are too adult for little kids.

OCZ Rally 2 Turbo 4GB @ Phoronix

April 2nd, 2008 by Kristofer

Title: OCZ Rally 2 Turbo 4GB @ Phoronix
Direct Link: http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=12127
Summary: “OCZ Technology has certainly had an impressive array of USB flash drives over the past few years, but they haven’t stopped there. OCZ is continuing to revise their flash drive series and their most recently example of that is the Rally 2 Turbo. We found the original OCZ Rally to be fast, but the Rally 2 Turbo claims to take data transferring to incredible new heights with its latest dual-channel technology offering up to 35MB/s reads and 30MB/s writes. Like the original Rally, the Rally 2 Turbo is encased inside an aluminum chassis and comes with a lifetime warranty.”
