CES Update: Intel Skulltrail at 4GHz and Radeon 3870 X2 Spotted @ HotHardware.com
We’ve spent some quality time with both Intel and AMD at CES and the shots are flying from both camps.
On the Skulltrail, things are moving along vicously, air or water-cooled at 4GHz no less. That’s 8 cores at 4Ghz and they’re running FBDIMM memory now at DDR2-800 CL3 too:

AMD, on the other hand, is preparing to lash out with its Radeon 3870 X2 dual-GPU bad-ass board for enthusiasts. We’ve got the skinny and a few up close and personal shots as well:
