WordJong has been a favorite PC title for casual gamers for a while, and can be played for free at various web sites. It uniquely combines two games that provoke different parts of your brain: Scrabble and Mahjong. You have to spell out words using the tiles on the screen, but Mahjong rules determine which tiles are available (you don’t have to match tiles as in traditional Mahjong).
The game has been so popular that it has been ported to several mobile devices, and now the addictive puzzle game is available on the Nintendo DS. So why would you pay good money for a game that you can play online for free? Well, Destineer Studios has enhanced the gameplay to take advantage of the Nintendo DS platform, which opens up new play opportunities.

It’s been a long time between drinks for Mac users waiting for a new version of Office, and a lot has happened in the four years since the last release. Apple has slowly released its iWork office suite, and competition from online players like Google and ThinkFree is heating up as well.
In fact, it’s a tribute to Apples engineering team that the Rosetta environment, which lets Intel Macs run older PowerPC applications functions so well. And it has meant that in the past two years since Apple introduced its first Intel Mac back in January 2006 customers wanting to use Microsoft Office could happily continue using older versions without the need to upgrade. (Of course, it must also be assumed that Apple paid special attention to ensuring Microsoft Office would survive the PowerPC to Intel transition smoothly, given it is such a critical application for Mac users.)

We have recently posted up a review of the Ultra Stackable system. This setup includes SATA and HDD enclosures that can connect by firewire, USB2.0 or eSATA as well as a USB Hub, Card Reader, and Power distribution center. If you have a ton of USB hubs, HDD enclosures and want to help tame the cable clutter and add some sanity to your desk, take a look at our review to see how the Ultra Stackables can help.
Title: Ultra Stackables - Expandable USB Peripherals
URL: http://www.bcchardware.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=5055&Itemid=40
Quote:
Now the ability to stack all these external enclosures on top of each other to make a nice neat pile of USB devices is sure handy, but that also comes with a price and if you plan on making a USB device tower, its going to get expensive. The power distribution center is the most expensive unit, and retails in the 60-80 dollar range.

Quote: CPU coolers come in all shapes and sizes, many with very intricate designs. However, sometimes a computer doesn’t need a fancy cooling setup when a simpler yet effective solution might do. AcousticPC.com, a great online retailer of a variety of quiet performance computer products, sent us a sample of one of their popular CPU coolers, the Silentmaxx Frostbite CPU Cooler, which has a simple design package but promises respectable cooling performance nonetheless. Will this vertical cooler perform well compared to horizontal coolers? We will attempt to answer that question in this review.

Barcode systems susceptible to serious hacker attacks
Posted: 01 Jan 2008 12:00 AM CST
Experts say that the Barcodes our highly automated business world could now hardly do without, often display serious security holes. In particular, one- or two-dimensional systems of barcodes and matrix codes are open to common hacker attacks and to experiments that have had variable results. This was stated by “FX” of the Phenoelit group at the 24th Chaos Communication congress (24C3) in Berlin on Friday evening. Frequently, he said, all you had to do was simply copy “used” barcodes in a copyshop, or scan them in and print them out.
